- Q: Our current bed is the traditional style bed and it hurts me to sleep in it for more than 6 hours. How do you find a good bed when you only lay on a bed for 2-3 minutes at the store? Anybody have anything to say about the newer developments in beds?

- Maybe you could place him on his dog bed and say bed, then give him a reward. Repeat this maybe 7-10 times before saying bed and seeing if he goes on it on his own. If he doesn't, don't get mad or yell at him, just go back to step one. He'll get the hang of it eventually and be able to do it without being placed on the bed. Just remember to use positive reinforcement, rewards, petting him, saying good boy!, etc. I would suggest getting some kibble (doesn't have to be anything too fancy) to reward him.

- That is very interesting..to be honest I have never heard of that before. Are you an otherwise emotional person? If so, maybe you are just being very reflective and what better time to do that before you slip into a realm of possibilty (aka sleep/dreams)? If that is the case, maybe you are misinterpreting this reflection as depression. Personally, I am not a really emotional person but I always use bedtime for reflection and prayer, and, like you, my eyes water (especially in the morning) but that I think is just a natural reaction to waking up in the morning.
