Q: I'm wanting to install a wood burning stove through the vaulted portion of a ceiling/roofI'm hoping the following description will be sufficient. The stove pipe will go from the stove to the chimney support box that will be attached to the raftersWhere the support box is there is NO attic spaceThe bottom of the roof rafters is the ceilingThese are 2 x 12 lumber, packed with fiberglass insulationThe main issue that I can think of is when I remove all the insulation where the support box is located, will I be left with an issue of condensation due to the fact that the conditioned inside air versus the outside temperature? Since there is no insulation between the support box and the outside chimney roof jack, I can visualize water collecting on the freezing cold metal of the support box and dripping onto the stoveSalt Lake City winters can be a little chilly, to say the least!!Does anyone have enough experience in this explain to me if I should find a different place in the house to install this stove? Thanks.

Q: when is it 'time' to get a new electric blanket, after you've been given a 'hand-me-down'?? you know, like when your mother-in-law gives you her quot;oldquot; electric blanket that still worx?? : )
HINTS FROM HELOISE Can your electric blanket be all wet? January 5, 2005 D EAR HELOISE: Is it safe to wash and dry an electric blanket? I've misplaced my directions and am afraid to proceed– L.B., via e-mail If the care label is missing or illegible, try going online to the manufacturer's Web site to see if the care instructions are listed, or call the manufacturer's 800 number (which is usually posted on the Web site) to ask for cleaning suggestionsHere is a general washing method that might work for you(However, unless the manufacturer suggests it, never put an electric blanket in a clothes dryer or clean the blanket in a dry-cleaning machine at a self-service laundry.) To wash, first disconnect and remove any controls from the blanket, then shake it out wellNow set your washing machine on a gentle cycle with a warm water temperatureWhen the tub is full, add a mild detergent (no bleach) and let it agitate for a few minutes, then add the blanket and begin timing the wash cycleLeave the blanket in for five minutesNext, turn the setting to a spin cycle to drain the tub, and then to a cold-water rinse-and-spin cycleAfter this is completed, promptly remove the blanket from the washing machine and gently press out excess moisture – do NOT wring an electric blanketDry the blanket by hanging it over several outside clotheslines or the like to air dry(note that generally, it's advised to toss an electric blanket after 10 years and purchase a new one.definitely get rid of it if there are any rips or tears, or if any of the electrical components are in any way damaged).

Your drain pipe is clogged upThere is a drain pan inside your unit is is the primary drainUnderneath is the secondary pan in case the other one is cloggedIf you have some high pressure air then you can just blow it through from the outside pipeIf not than you will need to go in the attic and cut the pipeClean it out with a snake or even a water hose if it will reachRe glue the pipe back together and you should be good to goWhile in the attic, then go ahead and clean the secondary one alsoIt probably got clogged with insulation.
Q: what is the best insulation that i can use for my attic?
there should be sensors in the shaft to tell it when to stop , so find out how to adjust the sensor and you'll be good to go
