Q:I'm just now finishing up a crochet project consisting of a baby hat and blanket, all done up in quot;boy colorsquot; (blue, green and yellow)However, I just found out that the baby is a girl not a boy, as told to me earlierI don't want to re-do the project, so I'm considering placing the articles in a 4:1 water to clorox solution until the color comes off, then washing it with woolite in the laundry in warm water, with a red shirt tossed in to make it look pink (fabric softener would also be used)Any hardcore crocheters/knitters have any advice as to this idea? My yarn is Red Heart Brand yarn, 100% acrylic. Thanks!! :)
Ham and Bean soup is great1 lb of white beans - Canellini or Great Northern 2 quarts of water 2-3 lbs of ham shanks (preferred to ham hocks because the shanks have more meat), each shank cut into 2 or 3 sections 1 cup of diced onions 1 cup chopped celery 2/3 cup chopped carrots 2 cloves garlic, diced Tabasco sauce Salt and pepper Herbes de Provence Fresh parsley Soak the beans in at least 2 quarts of cold water for about 2 hrsDrain the waterPut the ham shank pieces in a large pot and cover with waterBring to a simmer and simmer for about an hourAdd the chopped vegetables and beansCook for another hour, until the vegetables are soft and the ham meat easily pulls away from the boneAdd several drops of Tabasco to tasteAdd salt and pepper to tasteAdd a pinch of herbes de ProvenceServe with a pinch of chopped fresh parsleyServes 8Per serving: 582 cal.; 45 g pro.; 39 g carb.; 25 g fat (10 sat., 12 monounsat., 3 polyunsat.); 124 mg chol.; 131 mg sod.; 12 g fiber; 5 g sugar; 42 percent calories from fat.

Q:I recently had two back to back surgeries where my colon was injured each timeI had not had bowel prep for either one; the first was emergency surgery. After the second surgery I was unable to pass stoolMy intestines were packed and nothing worked; not even prescribed bowel prep.I decided to take drastic measures and for the last several days have been drinking 8-12 heaping tablespoons of soluble fiber. For the past two days I have had extreme diarrhea and I think it's from the fiber. What can I do to slow down the diarrhea and ease my raw and tender flesh?
in writing chemical formulas you have to balance chargesAl has +3, SO4 has -2you have to cross multiply to get the charges to balancefrom that you should be able to do the rest yourself
Q:Just wondering what a good high fiber diet would be with protein and stuff so that it's natural food and healthy.
In order to really do this it must be something you really and truly wantYou don't want to lose a few pounds, quit, then have it come backIn order for this to work you have to WANT to lose the weight more than anything elseSince the work involved can be intense and very involved it's going to be easy to want to quitThe more you want it the better chance you have of succeeding and keeping the weight off.
Q:How do you clean a flat iron? When I turn my on the metal starts to get a burning smellI was told that you can not put soap and water on them.
Step 1Turn off your ceramic flat iron and unplug itSet it down on a heat-resistant mat (instead of directly on your countertop) to avoid leaving burn marksAllow the flat iron to cool for about 5 minutesStep 2Wipe down your lukewarm ceramic flat iron with a damp paper towelThe remaining warmth will help remove any traces of hairstyling product that have just adhered to your styling toolIf there is old product buildup on your flat iron, however, you may spray it instead with a professional cleansing solution especially made for thermal hairstyling toolsThis will remove stubborn buildup without scratching your ceramic flat ironUse a soft cloth or paper towel to wipe away residue that has loosened upStep 3Reach into the tiny crevices on your ceramic flat iron with a cotton swabThis will lift away any dirt in spots that are too small to accommodate your fingerYou may also use your nail rather than a cotton swab, as long as you cover your nail with the cloth or paper towel to avoid leaving scratch marks on your hairstyling toolStep 4Avoid using abrasive solvents when cleaning your ceramic flat ironHowever, there are some household items that you can turn to if you run out of your regular professional thermal tool cleanserNail-polish remover, ammonia, spray-on oven cleaner and rubbing alcohol can each break down hardened styling product on your flat ironSaturate a cotton ball with your solvent of choice and use this to wipe away product buildupWhen you are finished, use a damp paper towel to wipe down your ceramic tool; this will clean off the solvent used, as you don't want to get it on your hair the next time you use your flat iron.
