Q: Please don't say the technology that eventually becomes available to the average person because that could have been gotten at 0.001% of the cost if it weren't invested in this high reliability, redundant, and wasteful spending endeavorIts not that I necessarily disagree with all space exploration its just the nature of the beastIt costs alot of additional money to protect astronauts' lives and insure that everything will work at virtually 100% reliability after it has traveled several months or years in a very hostile environment.
Because of development of technology, NASA generates $6.00 for the economy for every $1.00 they spendIt is one of the very few government departments to do that A very short list of innovations from the space race: Cordless tools Computer-aided tomography (CAT scans) Magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) Water purification systems Scratch resistant lenses Ear thermometers TV satellite dishes Virtual reality software WD-40 Space blanket Graphite fibers used in ultra lightweight boating, golf clubs, Stealth aircraft, etcWork on ARPANET inter-computer data link aided in the development of the Internet .
Q: okay so me and my sister found an attic, we went up, and there is support beams to walk on, but A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of black insulationit's very roughwe want to know, for one, is it flammable? and for two, if we touch it, or breath a little bit in.is it dangerous? is it bad to touch??thanks in advance
Insulation is not typically black in colourMost often it is pink, white, grey, brown, yellow or greenSome colours are natural and some are dyes (pink, white and yellow)Often when insulation becomes black it is due to mold, though this only happens in small areas or it is patchy at bestThis may be an exception where all the insulation is moldyI'd take caution when re-entering this attic spaceYou may want professionals to remove it.
Q: im making quot;Ugly Dollsquot; for xmas and they're like stuffed animals/dolls.so what can I use to fill them inside, THAT I CAN BUY AT STORES LIKE THESE:pearl art supplytargetwalmartshopriteetc(no specialized or online stores)thank you!! ]
What you need is polyester fiberfill, which might be available in the Craft department at Walmart (although the Walmarts in our area have a lot less fabric/yarn/crafts than they used to)If you absolutely positively cannot find a bag of polyester fiberfill, buy a cheap bed pillow and use the innards from it.
Q: I'm not very regular if you know what I mean so lately I've been eating oatmeal and drinking water religiously I haven't seen too much of a change so what else can I do or what are some low fat foods that are high in fiber?
Does Oatmeal Have Fiber
Q: What happens to the body when you get cold?

Q: The doctor ordered me to eat more fiber for digestive problems, but I'm going to be in Chile for the next few months and I'm not too familiar with the food hereMy host family eats a ton of white rice and white bread, so I was hoping someone could tell me where to find bran muffins, whole grains, or any kind of high-fiber foodsI am in Valparaiso/Vina del Mar.
As long as the cake is not filled with a custard filling and frosted with a 7 Minute type frosting it should freeze fineFollow the wonderful directions given here.
Q: I have this tiny little ball of black yarnUnfortunately, I lost the tag a while ago, so I can't say for sure exactly what material it is, or what brand makes it.It looks like very thin wool, but I want to say it's acrylic that's made to look like wool- it's fuzzy, not stretchy, and very thinThe problem is, it's such a small ball, I'm not sure what to make with it! And it's a shame, because it really is a pretty yarn.Does anyone know any small knitting projects I can make with this tiny little bunch of yarn? Thanks!
that depends on the type of metal rather than the thicknessI have seen .223 rounds punch through 1/4'' steel like it was nothing but i have a 1/2'' steel swinging target that stops them.
Q: Yes this is weird.but my 9 mth old daughter refuses to sleep with a blanket?.It drives me crazy!! My daughter sleeps in between my husband and I .and sometimes in the morning it will be chilly .so I put her blanket on top of her.just her legs and feetShe wakes up and cries.every single time! It doesn't matter if I use a thin blanket .thick blanket.she hates itHas this happened to anyone else? I know it's not that big of a deal.but it's just weird.! I have to put the heater up more than I need to just because she won't have a blanket!.Because when you sleep your body temperature drops a little bit.so I don't want her to get sick or something.but she won't have itGOSH!!
my son won't eitherhes 16 months and he lets me put it on him when he lays down, but the min my back is turned he kicks it off.like its a game or somethini just started dressin him warmerjammies with feet and sometimes a onsie under it all, socks if its goin to be very cold:) hope this helps :)
Q: Im a first timer user and Ive read/heard that you should change your tampon from 4-6 hoursin some cases even 8hrs.SO my question is, lets say you put a fresh one in, in the morningOn average, how many do you go through a day if you have a regular flow? And also, what about night time??
if you are doing a cookout i can tell you what to watch out forchicken - boil it before hand, half raw chicken is not only gross it will make you sick potato salad (or anything with eggs or mayo/yogurt in it)- take out small dishes and refill, no need getting salmonella because the food gets too warm drinks - don't put ice in the big drink containers unless you put it in a baggie or have the kind that won't water them down, water kool-aide is not a party favorite have a good holiday
Q: I'm teaching myself to knit and have learned the Continental cast on methodI can do that pretty well, with even stitch spacing and sizeBut the problem comes when I work the next row of stitches onto the cast on row: I get a weird little loop of quot;extraquot; yarn on the last stitch that hangs of the edge of the workNo one seems to address this so I'm wondering if I'm doing it wrongIt happens when I try to let the last cast on stitch on the left hook slide off to become part of the last stitch on the right hookAny ideas about what is going on here? Thanks!
A copper penny can be melted on a regular electric stoveI put one on a stove element once and was surprised that it melted rather quicklyIf you had the right crucible I would think you could work.
