Q: Just came back from the casino and noticed the consistency in the automated roulette wheel. When I mean automated, I don‘t mean the electronic wheel but a wheel where the ball is thrown by the machine. There was about 16 seconds between each throw and the ball comes out from the same spot and I‘m assuming at the same speed and etc. I was wondering is it possible to determine the general area where the ball will land depending on the previous result. Since everything is kept constant like the time between games and the path of the ball, I would think that theoretically the ball should generally lands about 10 - 20 numbers to the right of the previous result.
Maybe you've heard stories about biased wheels, and that some folks figured out ways to beat these wheels. I promise you that NO automated roulette wheel is going to be biased. In fact, no wheel that's been made in the past 15 years is going to be biased in any way. Try to beat roulette at your peril.
Q: I have an 03 eclipse, and getting some aftermarket wheels soon. Are there any videos that show how to put aftermarket wheels on a car? Especially my car. Thanks
Take the rims to a tire shop way faster and its cheap less than 30 minutes installed and ready to go
Q: What are wheel balancing weights...and how and when are they used on car wheels?
Wheel balancing is a process to have the gravity point on wheel is always at the center when the wheel is turning that cause an outward force, the balancing need to be done because the rubber isn't design to have a very smooth shape and gravity. The balancing be done in two ways, dinamic and static balance, static with wheel off the car, and dynamic on the car. The weight is depend on the need and placed depend on the need, more then one place is possible. The weight is placing by clamp model or sticky model, it's depend on visual and space between wheel and shockbreaker and brake. But clamp model is harder and better.
Q: What is link wheel? How we can use link wheel?
I put excess ATF fluid by mistake, my car check engine light came on but could not tell the problem, only to drain the excess the fluid and the car went back to normal! My car is a Mazda Demio 2005 model. Luckily it not damage anything in the transmission.
Q: if i were to get a widebody kit, im assuming i need wheel spacers as well, correct? or is there another way
You can buy what they call deep dish wheels, which changes the centerline of the wheel so that if pushes the tires farther outside the body. This would be much more expensive than wheel spacers. I would not purchase wheel spacers until after I installed the body kit, that way you know whether or not they are necessary. I would use wheel spacers for a car. However, on lifted trucks where I want to widen the track, I have always used deep dish wheels over spacers for strength.
Q: I was considering putting a quick release race wheel into my 94 Mazda. What exactly do I need to purchase other than the wheel? I know a hub of some sort is involved
Look, Caleb. If you want to play racer, keep the car off the street. Steering wheels are not supposed to come off. Don't play with it. Leave it alone. Unless you are crammed in behind the wheel of an actual race car where the steering wheel needs to be removed in order to get you out so you don't burn to death, you have exactly zero reasons to have a quick-release steering wheel. I cannot stress enough to leave it alone.
Q: Why the wheel with the ABS brake system is locked
Can be judged, your car ABS is the domestic technology; can be explained: ABS anti-lock the working principle is working ABS pump to drive the brake cylinder in the implementation of the brake command, the frequent brake - release - brake - Brake .... This frequency of up to 8-13 times per second, the general foreign ABS per second frequency remained at 8-9 times, while China can only reach 12-13 times. The more frequent description of the brake time is more, the possibility of occurrence of locking on the big, and ABS work frequency standard is also 8 times.
Q: if i put a cut off wheel on an angle grinder can i use it to cut through a medal pipe? are cut off wheels compatible with angle grinders?
Yes but its for general purpose straight cuts. I've been using a Metabo cutting wheel in lieu of a torch for cutting, including stainless that's 3/16 or less. They work great, are inexpensive, and fit angle grinders.
Q: Like the honda on the movie baby boy the wheels stick out on the side
You didn't state the model or year or the type of rear brake (drum or disk), so I'll be rather general. From your description, I'm guessing you have drum brakes on the rear axle. Before doing anything, try this: start in reverse instead of ahead - is it any easier? If yes, the wear-recovery device sticks. In either case, the rear brake mechanism (or calipers) should be dismantled, checked fo wear (likely premature wear of pads due to seizing), cleaned and reinstalled. Check that the springs (on drum brakes) are correctly installed, that the drum/disk surfaces are evenly worn and that the pistons move freely along their entire travel. Check also the state of the seals and replace if necessary (worn/broken seals lead to pistons rusting and sticking). This is a good moment to do some bleeding as you'll have released the bleeding valves to move the pistons. Next, check the parking brake cable, linkage and levers - they, amay also cause or contribute to the problem. Not using the parking brake increases the sticking effect. If the car is old, replacing the cable is the best strategy. It should never be lubricated. On disk brakes, caliper and pad guide metal surfaces may be slightly lubricated with hi-temp (copper) grease. Keep it well away from the friction surfaces and disks. I can hardly believe the garage has gone this far. Btw, unless you regularly park in knee-high water or your car has been flooded, I can't imagine such a dirt buildup to justify the effect. Your best bet is a friend with some time, tools, experience and a place to do the job. It shoudn't take more than half a day to do most of the work (time to procure parts excluded).
Q: Hello, can some people be real descriptive and explain what is meant by play in the steering wheel and/or loose steering. What does this mean, that when you turn the wheel it feels real loose and like the wheels are not catching?
You're correct. Play means the amount of turn that can be made without the wheels changing direction. It's often referred to as loose steering. Watch any old black and white film and when they drive the actor really moves the wheel a lot when the car is going straight. Older cars had a lot of play, (although this was exaggerated for effect) but it's the idea that counts. Most modern cars with power steering won't have this problem so much, but larger vehicles often do. (Drive buses as part of my job).
