1.Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve Description

A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk.The disc is positioned in the center of the pipe, passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the disc is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is always induced in the flow, regardless of valve position.

2.Main Features of the Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve

1)Small in size and light in weight and maintaince. It can be mounted whereever needed.

2)Simple, compact structure, quick 90 degree on-off operation.

3)Disc has two-way bearing, perfect seal, without leakage under the pressure test.

4)Flow curve tending to straight-line. Excellent regulation performance.

5)Various kinds of materials, applicable to different medium.

6)Strong wash and brush resistance and can fit to bad working condition.

5.FAQ

1. How about the Installation of the Wafer Style Butterfly Valve?Butterfly valves are installed by inserting the valve between two flanges using bolts or studs and nuts to hold it all together. This type of installation, of course, makes it impossible to disconnect just one side of the piping system from the valve. That benefit is received using the lug style valve.

2. What is the working principle of manual wafer butterfly valve?

A butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.

Q:Ok, so I took my car in for maintenance (Mustang GT convertible 2002) and the mechanic told me the valve gaskets needed to be replaced and when he gave me the estimate, they were two seperate charges for valve gaskets and valve covers, total of about $250.00 not including labor. Is he trying to rip me off cause I'm a girl by the way? Anyways, I didn't get it done cause it needed something else too and I didn't have enough money so I said I would be back in two weeks. So I called the dealership to inquire about the price and I asked the parts guy for a price on valve gaskets and he was like, I don't know what you mean, we have valve cover gaskets but nothing says just valve gaskets? I told him to give me the price anyways, thinking I would ask my brother (who hasn't tried to help me anyways) and it was $60.00 for both (I need two). How can this be if the other guy was charging me $250.00 for different parts? Help!!! Frustrated and confused, I don't know anything about cars :(
LOL. No. You don't get away that easily. The valve cover gasket only keeps oil from splashing all over the engine bay. It literally covers the valves, sealing the engine interior away from the general environment. Th head is the part of the engine that the valve cover sits on. It contains the valves, and either the camshaft or the rods that lead to a camshaft deeper in the engine, and of course the rocker assembly. You have to remove all those big bolts along the casting to break the head free, and you'll need a torque wrench to get the pressure right when you're reinstalling it. The head gasket seals the tops of the cylinders [incorporated in the bottom of the head] to the cylinders themselves [bored into the block proper.] Have fun!!!!!
Q:In the pipeline attached building Atlas 05S502, in the middle of a water meter and check valve, the two sides are divided into two butterfly valve, want to ask why to arrange this way, what is the role of the two butterfly valve?
Check the water gauge and check valve on both sides to facilitate the maintenance and replacement of water meter and check valve.
Q:How to use the fire butterfly valve properly?
Clamp and groove type and signal butterfly valve, the first two have what requirements of installation, the operating handle can rotate to open and close the valve installation, signal wiring, mouth down, to prevent water and caused a short circuit three line grounding and alarm line for leakage protection and monitoring of the valve open or closed, general are in line with the alarm valve or flow indicator matched with water, indicating the spacing of not less than 300mm, no other special requirements
Q:i was changing valve seals and two dropped i can see the head of the valve but a magnet wont pull them up i put air the spark plug hole too but no luck 1985 ford bronco II
well depends .. how far the piston was down and if the valve is still in the valve guide. intake you may have to pull the intake and feed it up from the intake port .. exhaust .. pull the manifold and feed it back up from the exhaust port.. and last .. pull the head .. if the the valve is still in the guide and the piston is not at the top .. you may could turn the engine slowly by hand to the top the piston may push up the valve up . you may be able to pull the valve up then..
Q:Buried extension butterfly valve is buried or need to repair the valve well, can build the valve well, the extension rod butterfly valve installed in the valve well, the extension rod to avoid covers, the top of the valve well out, so that the hand wheel in the ground operation.Atlas S143 is less than the inner diameter of DN150 valve wells only 1200mm, DN200-DN250D diameter of only 1400mm, 700mm valve covers, valve rod and a handwheel to lengthen through the valve cover, valve wells is built to cover the embedded pipe or tube? Is there a standard atlas?
It is better to set up the valve well for repairing the valve later; If it is extended to reveal the valve well, the waterproof of the well must also be considered. Otherwise, a rainy well will be full.
Q:How do you explain A in butterfly valve D37A1?
Represents a seal or lining material symbol.Said sealing ring or lining material with the Chinese phonetic alphabet: B Babbitts D nitrided steel, acid resistant stainless steel H, J L Aluminum Alloy, hard rubber, nylon NL, P leather, SA PTFE, SC PVC, SD bakelite, T copper, TC enamel, X rubber, Y hard alloy
Q:Where are the exhaust valves, mud valves and butterfly valves?
The exhaust valve is suitable for the pipeline with working medium, so as to improve the efficiency of the water conveyance equipment and protect the pipe from deformation and rupture. Sludge discharge valves are suitable for use in floating waste water treatment plants, such as gypsum. Slag, scale power stations, smelters, sugar mills.
Q:Hi guys, i asked a question before pertaining to the amount of cylinders and asking if it meant V4 or V6 or whatever.I actually meant to say VALVES, not cylinders. IS there a direct correlation between VALVES and Clyinders..Eg, My car, which is a 2001 Neon LE states right on the engine block quot;16 VALVEquot; in bright letters. I am sure this is a 4 cylinder engine. I haven't had a car that broadcasted the number of VALVES before. Another car I had broadcast that is was a 3.3 Liter V6 right on the engine. Is there a mathematical relationship between VALVES and cylinders, or would my car be braodcasting 16 VALVES, because a 4 cylinder doesn't typically HAVE 16 valves, or what is the story??Recently, I was looking at an altima, and it said 24 valves. Can you tell just by the number of valves if it is a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder or whatever??Thanks.
Well a lot of valves signify that more air/gas is getting to the engine so it suggests a more powerful engine. So your car has 4 valves per cylinder. Now that's pretty much a standard number so most expensive cars don't really even talk about that. They mostly just advertise the displacement. You can't really tell the type of engine via the number of valves because it does vary by manufacturer. For example there could be a 16 valve V8 also also(2 valves per cylinder). There are some ratios that dont work like a 16 valve V6 because you cannot have 2.6 valves.
