Q: Im hoping to get an industrial/scaffold piercing done at the very beginning of the summer holidays.Is it possible that they can be pierced with 2 separate pieces of jewellery rather than one bar.Also would it be healed in time to take it out once the holidays are over (6 weeks)??Please help??!?Thanks x: nope! Cartilage piercings take about a year to fully heal up. Yes, you can get 2 separate bars, but let the piercer know thats what you want. Industrials are VERY hard to take care of. Make sure to listen to EVERYTHING the piercer says!

They take awhile to heal, often times for most between 6-12 months, but for most it's closer to the 12. So I'd give it a few months at least, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to ask your piercer about when would be the best time. Often times too they'll help you with changing jewelry jewelry insertion for little to no charge, so you may want to do that. I've had mine pierced for about 12 yrs, and actually, I still have the original bar in that it was pierced with, but I remember it was quite a while before I felt comfortable taking it all the way out to clean.

Q: I really want to get one done and I would like it if someone could tell me how badly does it really hurt? During and after. I know everybody has different pain thresholds but on average? I'm just nervous to get it done but really want another piercing on my ears. I have my lobes and a cartilage on my right ear. How easy is it to clean? rate in numbers as well as a description. Thanks.: my experience was easy and fast. it was the next day waking up that kills you! keep in mind that its thick cartilage, but it is really worth it. you'll get used to it by like day 3 or 4 but and tug or pull will remind you of the pain. i recommend it!

It doesn't hurt to get it pierced but it's very sensitive after its pierced, DO NOT roll the bar around cuz you can damage the cartilage that way, and keep it super clean
