Q: I currently have an LCD monitor for my computer and I am getting a second monitor and it is LED. Will there be much difference and will they work well side by side. They both have DVI input.
A LED monitor is just an LCD monitor that uses a LED backlight instead of a fluorescent one. This helps alleviate the problem of poor color fidelity that LCD's suffer from, but does little to help poor black levels, response time, and viewing angles. Hope it helps ! :-)
Q: Hi, I just noticed that my Innovision MAG LCD monitor is either losing magenta or adding cyan -- can't tell which. Any ideas as to the problem? It's only a couple of years old, is it dying or could it be a cable problem? I know on my plasma TV it was a cable problem, but not sure on this! Thanks for the help!
I would check the cable theory by just switching cables, or even wiggling it. It may just be a short in the cable on that particular color's strand. It may aslo be the plug on the PC or monitor. Other than that, i am not sure if LCD's can actually lose colors.
Q: I want to purchase a LCD TV/LCD Monitor for my PC. Which should I purchase - LCD TV or LCD monitor. Is LCD TV harmful for eyes as compared to LCD Monitor? Which is the best one LCD TV or LCD Monitor?
As mentioned, an LCD monitor does not have a TV tuner. But there might also be a difference in screen resolution and brightness (a monitor may have higher resolution at a certain price point, but TV may have more brightness for more viewing distance). It all depends on what you will primarily use it for and how much you are willing to spend. You want a monitor to be sharp, but not too bright when close to it (but that can be adjusted down).
Q: I’m a computer teacher and teach in a lab that has 25 computers. The computers are side by side for the most part. They are all new LCD monitors. I had this problem with the old CRT monitors, but thought that the new LCD monitors would have some type of filters that would eliminate such interference. Is there anything I can do to rectify this problem?
LCD monitors are completely immune to the problems of CRT monitors. When you say wavy, are you talking about vertical waves or horizontal? Are they standing waves or do they drift across the screen? Are the waves luminous waves or color waves? Are they ALL experiencing this problem? Of those with the problem, are the patterns identical and synchronous or are they independently wavy? Are all the computers identical systems? Do all the computers share a common power source? You say you're a teacher, which makes me take this shot in the dark: Does your institution also have a radio lab (I.e.: a class capable of producing a strong source of EMI)?
Q: The cloudy day is not black, a hot day started a black light, today I got the computer maintenance test, he said that the pressure plate is broken, I have a high pressure plate. But the problem is that although there is no original so often a black and bright, but now almost an hour and one black one bright, I am depressed, change the pressure plate he charged me 150 I was black
This is generally caused by the pressure plate or tube protection, certainly do not rule out the fault or power driven plate, pressure plate 150 for more than and 100 of the profits, sometimes encountered profiteers would not necessarily give you change, may just give you repaired.
Q: I plan on getting a 30' monitor which one LCD or LED for gaming?
They will both be LCD - that's the display technology that all flatscreen monitors use. LED or not is to do with the backlighting. The LED one uses LED lights as the backlight The non-LED one used a fluorescent light as the backlight. It is more important to choose one with a good contrast ratio and fast reponse time. Monitors with slow response times will show a ghosted blurry image in fast moving screen action. Monitors with low contrast ratio will have blacks that are dark grey and colours that look washed out. Ideally you want a high contrast ratio, a fast response time and LED backlight.
Q: I haev a LCD monitor that requires 12V, 5A and AC adapter that is said to support 19V, 4.74A.Will I be able to use these together and not have a power wreck?
I ain't sure what you have but I DO know that the wrong power adapter will possibly burn up the monitor circuitry
Q: how would i do this my lcd monitor has a hdmi and dvi input.
You got to buy a TV TUNER Card for your pc. This will make you watch TV on your computer. Just ask your vendour for it. Its very cheap and easy to use. Hope that helps.
Q: i just got a used lcd computer monitor. when i hook it up, the picture is very dim (almost black). is it the ccfd inverter? the computer montor is a Kogi L4AX. i also have another lcd computer monitor. when i hook it up, and turn it on, the picture comes on for a split second, and then the monitor turns off, and back on then the same problem repeats. this monitor is a LiquidVideo L17LCD2.
It could be the inverter or it could be the actual backlight itself (maybe even both). But yeah, in both cases there is something wrong with the backlight.
Q: i just got a new LCD monitor. there was a sheet of paper that came with it, that said we are not supposed to touch it because it could damage it. how, then, am i supposed to clean it when it gets dirty? any help appreciated. thank you.
Yeah, the demonstrate screen cleansing Fluid stuff is costly. i offered some alcohol and ammonia-unfastened spray, alongside with a rag. it fairly works aswesome, ti would not smudge like windex, yet then I asked some adult males and that they advised me to apply a 50% water/rubbing-alcohol (isopropyl) answer, and a stable comfortable rag. Works in simple terms as great, and alcohol evaporates at as quickly as. i assume you may desire to truly in simple terms sidestep ammonia, and you may desire to no longer sparkling it with water on my own or windex. the difficulty with LCDs is they're layers of movie, so as that they % some particular care. as properly that, you are able to the two verify the owner's handbook or you are able to touch the business enterprise that made it.
