Q: I'm building a computer and the last thing I have to decide on is the monitor, there's so many to choose from and a lot of conflicting information on many so I figured I'd ask people what they would choose as the best 22 LCD monitor for under $350.

Q: I am using an acer AL 1706 LCD monitor and am running it at its native resolution (1280 x 1024 @ 75 Hz). I have tried using both the standard microsoft plug and play monitor driver as well as the specific driver for this monitor (although it always says that it is for the al 1716 after I install it). I find that overall image clarity is great, but the text, expecially in web browsers tends to look slightly out of focus (I have tried using cleartype, standard smoothing, and no smoothing). This has been giving me some pretty bad eye strain after using the computer for 20 minutes or more. Does anybody have any ideas as to what the issue is and how to fix it?
if it is basically photographs what's the determination of the photographs of their interior of reach state it is in all probability being pushed too the barriers for the show length additionally on a television that isn't a real computer screen for computers the determination (dot pitch) is to severe for photographs you elect the equivalency of .18 dot pitch on the liquid crystal show
Q: I bought this used LG Flatron W1934s LCD monitor. When I connect it to a PC, the desktop shows up but system shows it as non-Generic PNP Monitor and doesn't show 16:10 resolutions at all. Moreover monitor goes to stand-by mode within 2 minutes. It turns black like it had no connection to system. I'm using a VGA cable through a DVI converter on my Nvidia Geforce 9600GT. I've even tried it on simple VGA port on different PCs but same result. LG says it doesn't need drivers to work properly though I've tried but no good. Any idea what's wrong?I'm using Windows 7 but I've tried Windows XP too.

Q: I recently bought a used LCD monitor, NEC brand 17inch. I've had it for a few weeks and it worked perfectly, but all of a sudden when I looked at it, the left side of the screen was black (only about half an inch wide) - it cuts off the desktop view - I thought at first it was the settings of the monitor and tried moving things around but it isnt the issue. I've hooked it up to a second computer and same problem, its even like this when booting up looking at the POST and BIOS. Re-installed the monitor drivers which obviously wasnt going to help since its a monitor issue.I did a lot of searching for others with the same problem but apparently this has never happened before to anyone else in the world! (sarcasm)What can I do? Is my monitor toast? NEC's web site doesn't offer support for this model.
Sounds like you have check this out rather well. One suggestion would be to try a New known Good Video Cable. If no change, Suspect your monitor is bad. Sorry. Several issues to consider: Swapped Cable so not cable. You have moved to another PC so not Software. Issue reflect during POST and in BIOS - Tells me this is a monitor Hardware issue. Can't adjust monitor to see Desjktop - Tells me this is a monitor Hardware issue especially in consideration of above. Black stripe overlays Desktop - Tells me this is a monitor Hardware issue especially in consideration of above. Sorry but I have seen this type issue many times and all things considered - the monitor is bad!
Q: I need to buy an LCD monitor Wide 20 with good resolution, am a designer and need to get the best view. Please suggest. Also Did anyone knows what is the actual retail price of Corsair DDR3 RAM (6GB)? and the price for Gigabyte EX 58 UD3 mother board?
why 20 inches? its a better deal to spend a bit more and get a simple 22 to 24 inch screen. Like what I found: Acer B233HU 23in 2048x1152 - 234USD I'm looking for a monitor also, and I also do a bit of graphics design. I opted for increased resolution and larger screen size, although actual measurements its really just my existing monitor that's 6 inches wider. or how about this one: Auria EQ236 1080p 23.6in - 180USD resolution is a bet smaller, if you prefer to have icons and screen images to be a bit larger. corsair 6GB ddr3 1600 is around $150 gigabyte ud3's are around $200
Q: I am an American living in London just now. If I buy a LCD TV/Monitor to use here, will I be able to use it (with my PC) in America after I move back home??Thanks for the help,John
Most monitors will work on 240 V or 120 V. However, just to be sure, check the rating plate on the back of the monitor. You will need to replace the power cord, but that is easy enough. You might also want to check that it has UL and FCC agency marks on the rating label too. Customs might give you some grief if you tried to bring a monitor without these into the US. Edit: Oops. Missed the TV part. That will not work. US uses NTSC encoding, the UK uses PAL. The TV tuner part will not work. I can't remember the acronyms for the new digital broadcasts, but I believe that those are incompatible too. If you are going to connect it to a satellite or cable box via HDMI or component video then you should be O.K.
Q: Cause my monitor broke down few days ago so i plan to buy an LCD MonitorBut i not sure what brand and whether to buy 17 or 19And what is RSP(like 2MS,4MS,6MS,8MS,16MS)? and its Input A and A+DVI,what's the difference? and its CR (400:1, 600:1, 700:1, 1500:1) Will those thing are important?Anything else important when by an LCD monitor?Pls help.I appreciate everyone's reply! Thanks!

Q: I just bought an ASUS MS246H LCD monitor, and the specs states that it has integrated stereo speakers. However, I plug in my HDMI cable and there is no sound. There is a hole next to the HDMI plug, and it's apparently for earphones. Is this what it meant by integrated stereo speakers? I have to plug my speakers in?I thought integrated speakers meant that there should be sound coming out of the monitor itself.?
First try checking your hdmi settings on your computer to make sure it's set to output audio through the HDMI cable, to do that go into speakers on the taskbar, than go to mixer and check the output selection and change it to HDMI, if it still doesn't play sound through the monitor than it most likely doesn't support sound through HDMI and you'l have to use the 3.5mm jack.
Q: I cleaned a LCD monitor gently once and i saw wavy colors. After I was done cleening I did not see any damage or defects. Does this damage the screen in the long run? Any sources would be nice too thanks!

Q: I have got an ACER P235H model LCD monitor I want to connect my PS2. I do have an external TV tuner card (Intex LCD skyview IT-191). There is just a yellow(VGA) plug on the TV tuner but no red white, for me to connect the audio. Any plug converters that could help? Please do let me know what its called as well.
The yellow input that is in your Acer monitor is an RCA input, this for video only. All you need is to connect the audio ( red and white RCA) to a sound hardware (surround sound system or something like that ) and you're good to go. There is no other way since what you have is only a monitor, not a tv set. And a converter is not going to do you any good because the monitor have no audio input. Anything else just let me know.
