well these days systems have a lot of safety features . check the door its self some doors stop operating if it thinks some thing is under it so you may have to adjust it by putting a 2x4 under it than playing with the adjustment then it could be the sensors on both sides at the bottom of the door examine them closely if they have led's on them then wave your hand pass them to see if they are operating properly PS: check all the fail safes first than ask your next question
