- Q: I need to call the mobile phone in China(Shenzen city) but I don't know how to call mobile phone in all china I don't know the china mobile phone code no: please help me. Thanks in Advance.
- You need to put CHINA's country code before the whole phone number you want to dial.China country code is +86 .
- Q: I was just wondering, If i bought a G1 (ATT Subscriber) without contract and just unlock it through the web service for $24 will I be able to use it? Or do I first need a T Mobile sim to activate the phone?I am confused by the last question there, so please help.
- You need a T-Mobile account and data plan just to set the phone up initially. I have one, so I've done it. When you first fire up the phone, it expects to find a T-Mobile sim with an active data plan, and you have to set up Google access with either an existing account or a new account set up on the phone. Once you do that, I understand you can unlock the phone and use it with other GSM systems (like ATT), but there are a couple of caveats: 1. You won't be able to use the T-Mobile data network, even with a ATT data plan. 2. You can allegedly tweak the phone to use the ATT data network, but you still have to have a data plan to do so. 3. You won't have any 3G access on ATT or T-Mobile's network. It will work with the edge network, but since the phoen si a 3G phone, you lost the advantage of that higher speed network. To me, doing it this way is no advantage. Even though ATT has better 3G coverage (currently), T-Mobile is rapidly rolling theirs out, and it is available in many major cities. I have it where I work in DC, but not where I live yet in Jacksonville, Florida, but the edge network works there really well. I know you have an ATT plan, but if your contract is up or close to it, I'd switch. I'm very happy with T-Mobile (been with them many years) and the G1 is an excellent phone.
- Q: Basically I've had my current mobile for a good few years now and I've been saving up for a new one. I'm not too bothered about networks but I think I'm looking for a contract phone. There's obviously the choice between a blackberry and an iphone, but I have no idea what's a good deal and what's not? And also any other types of android mobiles which are really good? I prefer qwerty keyboards but if anyone can suggest a good touchscreen one that would be good too. I'd like to have internet access and app downloads, but I don't want to be spending something crazy like ?35 per month aha. Please help I'm completely lost with all these deals and mobile phones :)
- sony ericsson vivaz pro its a cool phone. It runs Symbian. It has a resistive touchscreen ( like windows mobile 6.5) Blackberry stocks are going down. iPhone sucks because you cant tether, no flash, no moving wallpapers, no dual core processors (its only a 1ghz A4 processor) its only got 512MB RAM, not even 1 GB. your best bet it Sony ericsson xperia x10 (cheap, candy bar style touchscreen, running android 2.1 if you want something smaller get the x10, or x8 (xperia) If you are on A GSM network, get the Motorola atrix. (it turns into a laptop with the laptop dock) its running android 2.2. you can make this phone a mobile hotspot (iPhone 4 cant do that) Get an Android phone even better, if you root it (look up superoneclick) you can get free apps that usually cost money on android market., you can also use tethering, and completely change the font of your phone. I rooted my xperia x10 and upgraded to gingerbread (android 2.3) added multitasking, and downloaded some really cool fonts. Also apple stocks have gone down, because android is an open source, and apple is not. No wonder they are losing money.
- Q: Hello, i was wondering if i bought a mobile phone from USA would it work on networks in the UK . or would i have to have it unlocked or something Thanks x
- If you bought one that's not unlocked (which is generally the case if you purchased it through the major carriers like T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint etc), then yes you will have to get it unlocked. Also, some 3G frequencies differ than those in the US. For example, T-Mobile runs off a different frequency than most carriers in North America. So make sure the frequencies match up in case you are trying to pick up a 3G phone or else you might be stuck with GSM or EDGE. Also, make sure that your phone has a sim card or doesn't based on your UK phone carrier (most use sim cards).
- Q: Can you suggest a mobile phone brand and model that has1. built in GPS2. camera3. touch screen4. external memory

- Q: I am thinking about going with Virgin Mobile. I would have to use a Virgin Mobile USA plan, but all of their phone aren't that great. I was looking at Virgin Mobile Canada's phones and I really would like to get the iPhone 5, which is only available in Canada. Basically what I'm trying to ask is, can I buy the iPhone 5 from Virgin Mobile Canada but activate it in the USA? Thanks in advance!
- Can I buy a Virgin Mobile Canada phone but activate it in the USA? No. First off the ESN for the Virgin Mobile Canada phones will not register with the system for Virgin Mobile USA. Second, aside from the LG 230 Simple Flip (a flip phone with a camera), all Virgin Mobile Canada phones offered at present time are HSPA+ type phones which are wholly incompatible with the CDMA WiMAx, and LTE currently used by Virgin Mobile USA.
- Q: I want a mobile phone like Samsung Corby or Blackberry or Nokia Xpressmusic Touchscreen that has WiFi Dont give me iPod Touch. I want it from Samsung or Blackberry or Nokia. Plz SAMSUNG OR BLACKBERRY OR NOKIA MOBILES THAT HAVE WIFI I need it.DONT ASK ME TO BUY ANOTHER MOBILES AND IT SHOULD BE CHEAP.
- A few options here 1) Nokia N97 : Full capacitive touchscreen, 5MP cam, QWERTY Keypad, Symbian S60 V5, 434mHz processor, 128MB RAM 2) Nokia X6 : Full capacitive touchscreen, 5MP cam, XpressMusic, Symbian S60 V5, 434mHz processor, 128MB RAM 3) Samsung Omnia II : Full capacitive 3.7 AMOLED touchscreen, 5Mp cam, Windows mobile 6, 800mHz processor, 256MB RAM 4) Samsung i8910: Full capacitive 3.7 AMOLED touchscreen, HD Video recording and playback (720p), Symbian S60 V5, 8Mp cam, 600 mHz processor, 256MB RAM All the above have GPS, wifi, Full touchscreen, Divx Xvid and H.264 Playback and are fully bundled with good music as well as video capabilities. If you dont have any problems with your pocket my recommendation is the Samsung i8910 because of high multimedia capacities and 8MP cam or if you want windows Omnia II is the one for you So GOOD LUCK !!!
- Q: I have been given a second-hand mobile phone. To my knowledge this phone has never left England, so am amazed that 'My Network List' has histories of Swisscom anad many others that I recognise as European or even American telecom groups. How is this?
- i think basically, phones from foreign nations have an inbuilt sim-card that can auto detect available netwoks.have u started using the phone?if not then i think u should consult a qualified person for breaking the seal of the sim card.only then u will be able to access the indian netwoks.the sim card must be holding the list of the netwoks from england and america.tats what is the list you are talking about in the my networks list.
- Q: I activated mobile tracker on my samsung phone a few weeks ago, and i lost my phone a few days ago. How do I find my phone using the tracker?
- Mobile phone tracking tracks the current position of a mobile phone even on the move. To locate the phone, it must emit at least the roaming signal to contact the next nearby antenna tower, but the process does not require an active call. GSM localisation is then done by multilateration based on the signal strength to nearby antenna masts. Hope this information is helpful for you.
- Q: Bluetooth headsets for mobile phones
- As they have already answered- you have to have a mobile phone for Bluetooth to work. But what someone said about it being illegal to use Bluetooth while driving. That is not true. In the US, the laws that are coming out are based to stop drivers from using their mobiles to talk while driving, and not having both hands free to drive. Bluetooth assists in keeping drivers safe and both hands free and on the steering wheel. People driving while using their mobiles to talk and or text while driving is getting out of hand and people are getting seriously injured or killed because people choose to be ignorant and NOT use a hands free device such as a Bluetooth headset. I never leave home without it ;)
