Q: i would like to know if studying and the michigan state test for real estate are extremely hard? what do you need to be good at to pass the test? how much does a real estate agent make if they are decent at selling their houses?
As world got global, their is drastic increase in real estate
Q: I own a house that I'm sure would be worth at least 100k if not more if it is fixed up, would it be worth it to take the time off to renovate the home over the winter? But is it worth it the way the real estate market is currently seeming to go?If there are any realtors that could offer some insight, I can supply pictures and more detailed information.
I know these are very important questions for you. So we have some equally important questions to ask: It sounds like this is not your primary residence, is that true? How old is the house? Where, geographically (what city/state) is it located in/near? What is the rental vacancy rate? (In case you have to rent it out while you wait for the market to improve.) Find a local Realtor or web site and ask what they think the local market will be like in 6-8 months. Go on line and read up on what to do and what not to do when fixing up a house to sell. Go to IKEA for your re-model kitchen/ bath/ bedroom needs as well as Home Depot and Lowe's to get costs of what it will take to fix it up. DONT SPEND too much. Don't loose sleep over it!
Q: Real estate career requirements.I'm interested in the real estate field. I've heard that you don't have to go to college long for it,and I heard it's a full four years. Either way I'm gonna go to further my education, but I'd like to know the longest you have to go and what do you need. Can I still go to college or start type of program while finishing highschool?
Where I am, in Illinois, you just go to a private school, or community college, or the Board Office of your local real estate board and take a class. Then you have to pass a state test. Any agency will hire you probably, except RE/MAX, which usually hires experienced agents. So shop around and meet with various brokers. Pay is commission only, and there are fees you have to pay, such as board fees (for the MLS, lockbox, and also for franchise fees if you work for a franchised company like Century 21, etc.) Good luck! It's a fun career, but I don't do it anymore because it took every weeknight and weekend (especially Sundays) away from my kids and family. The money is good though, but only after you've put in two years or so. It can also be a cut-throat business, so become thick-skinned to deal with that.
Q: Has anyone here ever taken the ND real estate course through UND? It has a mid-term and a final exam. I was wondering if the questions from the quizzes are the ones on the exams?
All real estate schools have practice questions that were gleamed from those that took the test prior and could remember as many as they could thus the questions for practice. Depending on how old the questions are will depend if they are still on the test or not.Your practice questions are like or similar to those that will be on the real exam you take. There are many online courses that you might consider also. I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
Q: I'm 21 years old and going to school to become a civil engineer. I am currently working for a engineering contractor company and have a lot of experience in the construction field.I've always loved real estate till the market got bad. I plan on getting my real estate sales associate license in January here in Miami, Florida by doing a 4 week course at a real estate school. Can I somehow tie the civil engineering to real estate career as well. Also if I get a job as a real estate sales associate would I have enough time to continue my schooling for my civil engineering degree?I am a people person and love to persuade people. I also believe I have a lot of wealthy contacts from working in the construction industry currently. Just want to get some feed back from you guys and see what you guys think. Thanks
I think it would be better to keep on your civil engineering degree. You will make more money. If you have wealthy contacts, perhaps you can turn that into being a developer.
Q: i was thinking of taking a class in real estate transaction and work for a mortgage broker or maybe even as an appraisal, im not sure though i don't know which one would be more money and beneficial!
If you think that you become a perfact business man then you can take it as a carrer
Q: I am just working on becoming licensed as a real estate agent in Michigan, I have found 2 brokerages that I really like and am working on narrowing it down to 1, any tips as I begin this career I have full researched it and know the risks and the disadvantages. Any ideas for marketing, or anything else that may be helpful? Would like to hear from some expierenced agents. Thanks!

Q: seeking a real estate company that will help sell our timeshare in Virginia Beach,Virginia?
Very few real estate companies take on timeshares to resell. Why? They are difficult to sell and selling them makes the real estate company a VERY small commission, which is why so many charge an upfront fee. This has led to a proliferation of scam timeshare resales companies. If you want to get rid of a timeshare fast, use a timeshare transfer company instead. These companies also known as timeshare relief companies will transfer your timeshare out of your name for a fee. I know it sounds fishy, but it's often the only way that timeshare owners can get rid of their timeshares. Go with a company that's been in business for over 5 years and makes a conscious effort to show you who are they from the rep handling your case all the way up to the CEO. If they are hiding who they are, just walk away.
Q: I'll go ahead and say it, I'm young...I'm 15. I'll be in 10th grade when school starts back...but lately I've just been thinking about career choices and things like that, I've heard Real Estate is a nice job to have and you could get a good income...but,...I read here on Y! Answers that the market is in a bit of a slump at the moment? I don't know, that's just what I read. What type of person do you need to be to do this?... Is it a hard job? What is required of me? I know that you don't have to go to an actual college for it, you just have to get a license and you have to get a certain amount of hours in a course for that, right? I hate math, I don't enjoy algebra because to me, it seems pointless in MY life and I don't think I would ever use it. Is math required to be in a Real Estate career?? Do you have any advice? I would love to have a nice income for my family, for when and if I ever have one, in the future...
You're fifteen. I would not worry about all of this now. You will change your mind regarding a career twenty times (at least) before you graduate from college. Enjoy the summer. It will go by very quickly. Stop worrying about your lifelong career; you have time to investigate many things. Remember, RE agent work on COMMISSION and DO NOT get paid a straight salary. You had better be a selling fool in order to survive.
Q: Does anyone know of any good real estate investment groups in the Chicago area? Nationwide groups? Good websites? Thanks for your assistance.
www.okorder They are a Nationwide investment firm that is in Chicago. Their site has free resources, calculators and a very Massive directory.
