Aluminium foil (or aluminum foil) is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness less than 0.2 millimetres (8 mils); thinner gauges down to 6 micrometres (0.24 mils) are also commonly used.In the United States, foils are commonly gauged in thousandths of an inch or mils. Standard household foil is typically 0.016 mm (0.63 mils) thick, and heavy duty household foil is typically 0.024 mm (0.94 mils). Thefoil is pliable, and can be readily bent or wrapped around objects. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimeslaminated to other materials such as plastics or paper to make them more useful. Aluminium foil supplantedtin foil in the mid 20th century.

In North America, aluminium foil is known as aluminum foil. It was popularized by Reynolds Metals, the leading manufacturer in North America. In the United Kingdom and United States it is, informally, widely called tin foil, for historical reasons (similar to how aluminum cans are often still called "tin cans").Metallised films are sometimes mistaken for aluminium foil, but are actually polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium. In Australia, aluminium foil is widely called alfoil.

Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.

Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

Aluminium is remarkable for the metal's low density and for its ability to resist corrosion due to the phenomenon of passivation. Structural components made from aluminium and its alloys are vital to the aerospace industry and are important in other areas of transportation and structural materials. The most useful compounds of aluminium, at least on a weight basis, are the oxides and sulfates.

5.FAQ:

1)How about our payment term?

LC and TT and other.

2)Which country can we supply?

All around the world!

3)What is aluminum?

Aluminium is oxidized by water at temperatures below 280°C to produce hydrogen, aluminium hydroxide and heat:2 Al + 6 H2O → 2 Al(OH)3 + 3 H2

This conversion is of interest for the production of hydrogen. Challenges include circumventing the formed oxide layer, which inhibits the reaction and the expenses associated with the storage of energy by regeneration of the Al metal.

Q: does the z-71 have heavier duty parts??I am asking this question because i have a white 1994 gmc ext cab 4x4 and my freind has a 1994 white ext cab z-71 and they are the exact same truck!! except for the grill and his says z-71 and mine says 4x4.I am pretty sure chevrolet started z-71 in 1989 but i am beginning to think gmc didn't start using it until 1995 or 1996 because i have never seen a pre 1995 gmc using the z-71 badge.
Z71 RPO started in 88 (as said above)The package has changed slightly over the yearsUsually includes different (stiffer) valved shocksFront differential skid plate, transfercase skid plate, sometimes a fuel tank skid plateThat usually itThe spring rates can be the same for a Z71 vs a non Z71The rear locker G80 RPO is not included in the Z71 package, it is an option with or without the Z71My '97 is a Z71 has a crappy aluminum front diff and xfer-case skid platesBilstien shocks (not sure if they were factory) and a plastic cover on the fuel tankOper diff rearendMy friend had a '92 Z71 and had the same stuff as meHe now has an '01, just incudes skid plates.
Q: What is your family's most savory BBQ dish?
I love Girl Scout Chicken (you put potatoes, chicken, and some veggies like zucchini into an aluminum foil bag and stick it on the grill) Once everything is done cooking, you put sweet BBQ sauce on the chicken and it is perfectly cooked along with the veggies that cooked with itSo yummyLol I love BBQThey're one of the reasons I can't wait til summerOh, another awesome thing is corn on the cobI like to cut it off the cob first thoughlol I'm kinda strange, but whatever.
Q: It needs to hold a minimum of 15 marbles and stay floating for 30 secondsONLY USING:1 5quot;X5quot; sheet of aluminum foil.5 strands of uncooked spaghetti1 15 cm strip of masking tape (1/2 inch width)
Don't know that i can help with this, but keep one thing in mindeach of your items will float, except the marbles of coursemake a container or boat shape with the aluminum foilyou can tape the spaghetti to the bottom with masking tapethis will help hold the weight of the marblesmake the edges of your container doubled overthe sides can touch the water which will also help it floatyou may have to adjust the shape of your container so that the marbles are evenly distributed in the containeryou may have to crush the aluminum foil before startingThis will make it stronger and harder to sinkBut after all is said and done, it still trial and error.
Q: ok so i heard that you can hold it sideways and put a hole in the side of it but tin fild over the hole put ur bud in there light and inhale through the mouth piece i wanna know if thats ok and if not wat r sum other ways
Don't know but Isaiah was informed by God it's round Isaiah 40:22 God sits above the circle of the earthThe people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them
Q: Nokia N8, 700, Sony Ericksson Xperia Ray, Samsung Galaxy W or Ace, HTC Salsa or Explorer, Blackberry Curve 9360 or 9380Any help greatly appreciated.
you might do better to replace an occasional dinner with a nice roll in the hay
Q: 1)Is aluminium foil a good conductor of electricity, more than brass sheets! what is the melting point of aluminium foils!can it be used to make PCB ,by cutting out the aluminium foil like a leads and paste it on a insulated board, and soldering the electronic components at its right place! 2)i have soldering flux, but i dont know how to use it!please can anyone teach me!
aluminum is difficult to solder to, and requires special flux and procedures. Melting point would be well above the char point of any plastic used for the substrate. Or, in other words, if the aluminum gets hot enough to melt, you are doing something wrong. It should not even get warm. IF the thickness is the same, aluminum is a little more conductive than brass, not enough to matter, Copper is a lot better. any are good enough for PC work. Resistivities are listed below for some metals. Lower resistivity is higher conductivity. resistivity Ag 15.9e-9 Ω-m resistivity Cu 17.2e-9 Ω-m resistivity Au 22.14e-9 Ω-m resistivity Al 28.2e-9 Ω-m resistivity brass 35e-9 Ω-m
Q: i have a 1998 ford escort i just bought it a new a/c generator and i can seem to figure out where to put the a/c orifice tubedoes any one know if so please help me thankz
Hope you are kidding but in any case the best pizza is cooked right on the rack!
Q: Needs to be 3ft-6ft long, diameter about the size of a quarter, (To use as comparison graphite and carbon fiber golf clubs)Please give links to stores if possible
You can buy light gauge wall aluminum tubing in 3/4 and 1 Dia.s at large hardware outlets.- (Home Depot, Lowes.)
Q: Can somebody help me make a symbol equation of this?
Al(s) + Ba(NO3)2(aq) - no reaction If you place a piece of aluminum metal into a solution of barium nitrate nothing will happenJust because someone writes an equation on paper, doesn't meant that it will actually occur in practiceAluminum is below barium in the activity series, which tells us that aluminum metal cannot reduce barium ionsTherefore, there is no AlCl3(aq) and Ba as you might have expectedIf Ba metal was produced we could not have left it simply as Ba(s)It would have reacted with water to make Ba(OH)2(aq) and H2 gas Follow up Here is perfect example of why you must specify the states of the compounds and the conditionsIn solution, the nitrate ion does nothing, but when aluminum powder is combined with solid barium nitrate powder then a reaction can occur between the aluminum metal and the decomposing barium nitrateIndividual reactions: 2Ba(NO3)2(s) -Δ- 2BaO(s) + 4NO2(g) + O2(g) 4Al(s) + 3O2(g) - 2Al2O3(s) Overall reaction: 2Al(s) + 3Ba(NO3)2(s) - 3BaO(s) + 6NO2(g) + Al2O3(s)
Q: I'm assigned to make a aesthetically pleasing project about the Hindenburg disasterIt's kind of just like a huge blimp so I want to make a visual modelI'm not sure exactly what to do because I want to have notecards with the story of what it is, how it blew up, etc., and I want to to be pretty largeIf you stuck your left arm out, probably from the tip of your finger to your right shoulder would be a good length.I thought about making a paper m?ché with a large balloon and everything, but that might be pretty messy. If anyone has an idea on how to build a large model or what to do, I'd love to hear.Thank you!
