- Q: Just bought a new AR-15 and am on the market for some 30 round magazineswhich are better, the plastic magpuls (around 15$ each) or the aluminum/ teflon (around $10 each)?? thanks
- The magpuls are a better magazine and I would reccomend getting them but there is nothing wrong with USGI magazines if they come from a better company.
- Q: Just moved into a house and lined the bottom of the oven with aluminum foil (Reynolds Wrap) to catch any debris from a pizzaThe foil 'melted' or burned to the bottom of of the ovenHow do I get it off without ruining the finish on the oven?
- Your not too bright are you.there is a specific season for every animal(at least here in the U.S.) You are also not going to kill much with a pellet gunIt also sounds like you are hunting with your friends for sport and doesn't sound like your gonna clean and eat your kill, so my advice, hunt soda cansJust don't shoot at people or big gameIt will eventually kill either of those
- Q: I believe I understand conversion somewhat, but I feel like a couple parts of the concept are sketchyRead my book, my teacher's notes, another teacher's lecture, and the quot;Idiot's Guide to.quot; but haven't found enough examples to pick it up.If someone could walk through this problem for me, I'd be forever grateful! It covers all basic steps I thinkDo I need to convert the percentages? If I can get all the information to the density equation, I'm home free.A ruby contains 52.7% aluminum and 47.1% oxygen with traces of chromiumIf the ruby was found to contain 0.125g of aluminum, what is the mass of the ruby? Also, if you know a good website, I'd appreciate! I can't find any that give examples.
- Remember, that percent means parts per hundred, so you would have 52.7g of Al; 47.1g of Oxygen; and .2g of ChromiumThis would make your ruby 100gTo do your conversion start with what you have, which is .125g of Aland you know that for every 100g ruby you have 52.7g of Aluminum Heres how I would set up the problem: .125g Al x 100g Ruby/52.7g Al (The Al would cancel out leaving you with the mass of the ruby in grams.) I got that the ruby should weigh .237g If you used your answer of .237g to find out how many grams of Oxygen were in a ruby of that mass, it would look like this (remember we know how much oxygen is a ruby of 100g, so we can use that as a conversion factor): .237g Ruby x 47.1 g Oxygen/100g Ruby .112g Oxygen If you add this with the amount of Al, you get the mass of the ruby- .125g Al + .112 g O .237 As far as the unit conversions go, just remember that The units you want to finish with need to be on top Hope that helps!
- Q: Our family is looking into recycling our waste, but we only have one recycling binWhen we recycle, do we have to have separate bins for plastic, paper, aluminum, cardboard, etcor can we just throw everything into one bin (like we would with a trash can).If it does require us to separate the waste ourselves, where can we find extra recycling bins for the other materials. Thanks :)
- This really depends where you live, however since I am cheap, this is what I do: We have one big bin under the kitchen table - I got it at Target, we fill that with recyclables, remember no plastic bags - you have to bring those to the grocery stores and they will reuse themNo shiny cardboard boxes either (like some cereal boxes) if they are shiny they are covered in plastic and the plastic and cardboard cannot be separatedThen find a mixed-recycle dropNo need to separate if you have a mixed-recycle drop in the area, which most places doIt is becoming much more populationUsually there are several in the area - google can find this easilyIf you'd like you can do curb side pickup for about $25 a monthIf you decide to do a recycle drop NEVER drop your recycling when the bins are overflowing, this jeopardizes the recycling programAlso I'd recommend dropping it off on a Friday or Thursday, everyone does their chores on the weekend and those things are full by Sunday Best of luck!
- Q: i know that theres plastic paper glass and aluminum but what do i us to hold them seperatly and where do i put the bins? im 15 so i cant just put them anywhere they have to go somewhere out of the wayand if i could i would but them in my room but then i would have to go up and down the stairs any time i was recycleingi really want to become a better recycler so please help

- Q: what is the relationship between the number of atoms in sodium's outer shell and aluminum's outer shell?1sodium has more electrons in the outer shell2aluminum has more electron in the outer shell3carbon and aluminum have the same number of electrons in their outer shells4This cannot be determined.
- LoveU, Aluminum has more electrons in its outer shell (3) than sodium (1)Hope that helped!
- Q: I'm making rice pudding for a family reunion and I want to make it in a slow cooker OR would I need to increase baking time if I were to cook it in a large aluminum roaster pan ((think disposable turkey roaster))
- I think you'd be better off baking it in the disposable aluminum panUse your normal temperature, but it will take longer to bake than a single recipeI don't know if you're planning to double or triple the recipe, but it won't take that much longer than a single recipe - maybe 15 minutesIn the foil pan, it will probably be about the same height as your regular casserole dish that you use for a single recipeYou can tell if it's done when the edges are fully set and the middle seems just about set (similar to cheesecake)I like to sprinkle some cinnamon or nutmeg on the top just before baking to add color and extra taste.
- Q: I love to order penne when I go to the spanish resturant and I wish that I could make it at homeDoes anyone have a recipe for me to make the roast pork and rice and beans? and also i love plaintains but when i make them fried they taste dry how do I make them the way they do at the resturant?
- The pages with no ink in a bibleWhole thing is written on rice paper.
- Q: Is it safe or practical to store beverages in aluminum foil containers?
-
Aluminum foil is not typically recommended for storing drinks over extended periods. While it can be used for short-term purposes, such as covering a drink to keep it cool or to prevent insects, it is not designed to be a long-term storage solution. Aluminum foil can react with acidic or carbonated beverages, potentially leaching aluminum into the drink, which is not safe for consumption. For long-term storage, it's better to use containers specifically designed for beverages, such as glass or food-grade plastic containers with airtight lids.

- Q: we grow our corn and several other food.found out the corn were frozen without boiling! been in freezer 2 days now.i thought of just taking it out and boil them, any suggestions?sweet of my hubby trying to help - i was in hospitalthanks
- Don't panicAlthough it is suggested that you blanch fresh corn before freezing, I have found over the years that removing the husk and silk, wrapping the corn in aluminum foil and placing the ears in freezer bags without blanching first, has produced a better resultWhen you are ready to cook the frozen ears of corn, do not defrost themPlace the frozen ears directly into the boiling water, cover the pot and cook for five minutesYou will find that the corn taste almost as good as when made freshGood luck and hope you enjoy.
