Q: I have carpet all throughout my house, white carpet! I had 4 upright vacuums in the last 2 years. My first vacuum cleaner was a dirt devil and it would pick up stuff, then throw them back. The second was the same one, I thought that the first one messed up. My third vacuum was a Bissell and it picks up really good, but it gets clogged and I had unclogged it alot of times so I just got sick of it and threw it away. Q: It's not but two years old. Took it to a house with really old electrical outlets/wiring system, plugged it in and it ran. Turned it off, tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't turn on again. No electric box switches were tripped/turned off. Also tried it in outlets in all three rooms but it still didn't turn on. Fo vacuum cleaners have fuses the protect the motor? Any thoughts as to what's going on and/or what I can do (besides buy a new one)? Any advice appreciated.: i think it sounds like you blew the motor.
