- Q: I have a t-mobile cell phone and since I returned home from vacation Sunday, I have noticed that my phone now says ATT as its service, not 'T-mobile.' I haven't done anything to my phone, and have no idea why this is happening! A few of my friends who live next door also have T-mobile and have the same thing happening. What's even more odd is we have far better service now (even though ATT has horrible service in this area- New York's Hudson Valley).Any idea as to why this is may be occurring?
- It just means you're connecting to an ATT tower instead of to a T-Mobile one. Sometimes that happens because there's an issue with the T-Mobile tower and your phone can't connect to it. (Like if they're working on it right then or it's just busted, which seems to happen often.) If it's giving you better service, that's awesome, so don't bother to ask T-Mobile to put you back on their towers (tech support can do that I think). Roaming on other towers is included on T-Mobile so it's not going to affect your bill at all.
- Q: I want to text message from my mobile phone, but I do not want the texts to go thru my mobile carrier. Is this possible by using my yahoo account?
- Hi, yes I believe you can. Your mobile carrier, is for just that; so if you send it through your yahoo account, it would go through that carrier. You should be okay within that. Send one to a friend, in that same fashion and ask your friend to call you right back; say within 5 minutes; and to not call you back within 5 minutes IF it does not work; providing that person is updated with what you are about to do on the phone; then do it. If they call you right back within 5 minutes; then you will know YES! I have arrived! I have freedom! OK? If not, then you know it could not be done. Right? If it doesn't work, you haven't lost much. It didn't cost you anything, that is. So make sure your little message to your friend, is nothing personal.just a general; HI .(name goes here).this is(your name goes here).call me back in 5 minutes, ok? - Q: i brought a new mobile phone battery for my phone(Sharp 903sh) because my other one was damaged. - First of all, make sure you follow the phone's user's manual on how to insert a battery. If your phone is plugged into the wall, unless either a) that outlet is bad, b) the cord for your phone is bad, c) the battery is bad or was put in backwards, upside down or whatever, or d) some combo of a, b, and/or c, your phone should at least show something of a display. I think you need to use another phone and call the company's tech/customer support line and have them help you. I heard that a warranty can be voided if the phone is put in wrongly or something like. Anyway, hope this helps.

- Yes you are able to purchase prepaid sim cards once you get to Malaysia. They are available at any phone shops or camera shops. Most of these prepaid sim cards come with a top-up value which you could call home or receive call after you have successfully registered your sim. The shops selling you the sim card will assist you with the registration.

- no i think there is a select few such as samsung tgh 2619 samsung blast [like chocolate] sidekick II (135.00) nokia open faced phone their is a samsung phone that is like slvr with a camera for about 40-50 dollars + more minutes $25 - 130 mins $50- 400 mins $100 - 1000 mins each txt message is 1 minute all your muintes rollover it is ur best bet for prepaid phones!1

- Q: I have the i776w boost mobile phone(you know the new purple one) and i want to change it to t-mobile because boost is ripping me off and giving me problems.
