You say at the end of your question that the pressure used to push is kept constant. In that case the flow rate you measure should be inversely proportional to eta and L.
- Q: I was changing my engine oil via the dipstick tube and a special suction device that pumps the old oil out of the sump to be replaced with fresh oil. Unfortunately, i had to patch up a hole in the tube on the suction device with parcel tape/sellotape wrapped around and a small piece of tape (around 2x2 square) fell into the engine dipstick tube and appears to have slid down into the oil sump.Will the oil filter make any difference in keeping melted plastic out of the engine? - I agree, if the plastic piece lodges itself to the oil pump screen, this will severely reduce oil pressure and you will destroy the engine. Only thing to do is to put the car up on the lift, drop the oil pan and hope the part is still in the pan and not circulating elsewhere in the engine, but it should be in the pan probably right next to the oil pump screen. at the very bottom of the oil pan. good luck.......
