- Q: the gun works great...until i go to elevate the last shell into the chamber, the plastic cup that seats against the crimps of the shell sticks just enough into the tube to not fully push the shell out and onto the elevator, the spring feels a bit week also, are these springs known for wearing out and are they replaceable? looks like the shell tube has large threads that screw into the receiver but ill be damned if i cant get that thing to twist and unscrew!

Replace the spring and put the follower back in. put the tube back on the receiver. I find it easier to push the follower into the tube a little until you get the threads started. be careful not to crossthread. tighten it up the same way you took it off.
