- There are two types of phones sold on OKorder: Phones with a contract and phones without a contract. A phone without a contract: all you need is a T-Mobile Sim card. You can get a prepaid one or you can set up a plan. A phone with a contract: Its a lot cheaper but you will have to activate the phone through the seller, which means for you putting up a deposit. What I would do is go to a T-Mobile store and tell them that you are getting a T-Mobile free from your dad and what your options are. Don't let them talk you into signing anything right there and then. Go back home and think about your options and then make a decision.

- There are some spyware apps available. - it wouldnt be possible since sprint runs on a cdma network and t-mobile on a gsm. in other words, sprint don't use sim cards. unless you have a world phone but even at that it won't be guarenteed to work 100%. you would need to either use it with t-mobile or get it unlock so you could also use it with att.

- Ho, ho, ho. Its the late Noughties, not the 1990s - reception is no longer an issue now. There are mobile phone receivers hidden in: Office blocks Flats Trees Lamp posts Farm buildings Industrial sites The list goes on. What I am trying to say is that back in the 90s, when mobiles were just beginning to get commercially popular and available there were nowhere near as many mobile phone masts since the market didn't demand it; not enough people were using mobiles. Now everyone has one and reception is simply not an issue with ANY operator unless you live up a high mountain or in the Outer Hebrides, which I doubt you do. The huge increase in customers has meant mobile phone operators have placed receivers EVERYWHERE. So, lose the 1990s reject opinion of cellular technology and simply find the best deal possible on whichever operator it is. Reception differing on individual network operators is utter, weapons-grade bullsh!t. Differing reception between operators is such a misnomer these days that if you do suffer from bad reception, it is more likely to be your PHONE than the operator itself. And even if you do wonder into an area where your operator does not have a mast, then your mobile will automatically switch into the next nearest mast and it doesn't matter which operator hosts it. So why would anyone ever have a reception issue these days unless they are using a leather case lined with lead.

- Definately the Shuttle!! Here is why the Shuttle is better: (+) Shuttle camera is 1.3 megapixel camera, Slash is just VGA (+) Shuttle can record video, Slash cannot (+) Shuttle is 3G speed and uses EVDO (this is Virgin Mobile's first EVDO 3G phone) (+) Shuttle has a music player (Slash does not) (+) Shuttle has removable memory, Slash does not (+) Shuttle is much quicker than Slash This is why the Shuttle is better :-) If you are planning of getting either one of these, it would be best to get the Shuttle, the higher price is worth it. I am planning on getting one!!

- caution; you may get stuck unless: the phone is labeled with the provider you want to use CDMA providers refuse to activate any phone but the ones they sold and it must be GPS enabled. or the provider uses GSM and not CDMA. It is illegal to sell a locked GSM phone now. so all you need to do is migrate the sim card.
