Q: I recently bought a mobile from a friend. All is in good working condition, however when I try to put my sim in it where it is supposed to say 'o2' it says 'inactive sim' ?? But my sim works in my old phone? Is it the new phone?Any ideas on what i can do ?
The phone might be locked onto a certain network, so it wont accept sim cards that are on a different network. Ask the person you've brought the mobile from what network it was on, If you cant get in touch with the person you brought it from take it to your local market and try and see if there's a mobile phone stall to unlock it for you. Then you shud be able to put any sim card in the phone.
Q: I lost my T-Mobile phone when I was playing around with my phone and my friend's phone. She let me try out her old phone, so I could see if that was the phone I really wanted, you know? (She has an iPhone 4, the phone I want.) After that, we went out and I misplaced my phone. We can't find it anywhere and since I have the sim with me and not in the phone, we can't call the phone :( I wanted to know, if I go to T-Mobile and tell them these unfortunate events, will I get a new phone free since I have insurance? I asked one of my close friends what he did when his phone was lost and he said he had to pay $40 to get his new phone. Please and thank you!
It depends on your insurance policy. Usually it will only cover a certain amount, and there will be a deductible. Also, if the insurance is directly through T-Mobile, you may not be able to get an iPhone since they don't directly support or sell iPhones, but it wouldn't hurt to check.
Q: I have the assurance wireless 250 min free and it is with virgin mobile. my friend has an android idk which one and she isn't using it anymore she updated her phone but we wanted to know if we will be able to connect it?
Android phones can't be used on Assurance Wireless, unfortunately. Assurance Wireless only lets you use (some) other Virgin Mobile phones, not including their Android phones (or Blackberry).
Q: celluar----- is that a mobile phone
Yes! A cellular is a mobile phone.
Q: Discussion on Positive and Negative Impacts on Mobiles Phones. Please help me :D
Plus side, anyone can get hold of you at any time Down side, anyone can get hold of you at any time Depending on how you use it, they're great If you don't want to be interrupted, turn it off. Great for emergencies though if you're stuck somewhere or stranded or in a sticky situation. Can be bulky to carry around, and if you go out drinking, you may lose it somewhere Over here (UK), people were killing for mobile phones a few years ago, so try to be discreet when using it. Down side, they can be a huge distraction, especially if you're driving. It's up to you and how you use it, if you're fairly sensible with it, they're great and an important tool. If you learn where the power button is, they're not as intrusive as they can be
Q: I recently was told something about how if a new phone comes out, for example the next iPhone, I could bring in my iPhone 6+ and trade it in for the next iPhone if it was in good condition. The payments i've already made monthly would just start over for the new phone. I was wondering if that was true or not. I also heard something about a t mobile jump plan and was wondering if I could get some more information on that if anyone knew. Thank you.
Not sure. Don't be so afraid to call t-mobile customer service then ask them what plans they offer and the all the details.
Q: If I already have a contract with T-Mobile, and have one of their cell phones, could I go to a T-Mobile store, and just buy a new phone, and transfer my existing SIM Card to it, without having to start a new/extend my contract?
yah. Its not like they'll know lolz i knew a girl who knew a girl who bought her g1 online, and said she never got it. Wa-la a free g1. or so she says. sim cards give u freedom to get a new phone w/e, but they also are easier to steal, fyi.
Q: I have MSN messenger 4.1.9 on my mobile phone (already installed with phone) I just started using. My question is thishow do I appear offline to my contacts (or only a select few) ????
it depends on the phone you are using . But some of the messenger software on phones don't have appear offline option. If you can be more specific about the model / make of your phone i bet more people can help you.
Q: How is the cell phone crash?
There is too much if the background of the program to run, will take up more system memory space, when running a larger program, the memory space will lead to slow response to the machine, crash, restart the phenomenon.
Q: I bought this cool mobile phone and i want to set it up for gprs im using mtn and vodacom i calld mtn and they say i must set it manually by the technicians. any one who know how to set it manualy please help i want to browse the internet. im in south africa
To activate the Gprs on mobile phone just follow the steps below: Select a Frequency Band to Activate GPRS: Step1 Access the phone's settings from the phone's main menu. Note: In countries outside of the United States or North America, you typically need to use the 900 MHz/1800 MHz frequency to get a GPRS signal from one of the mobile providers in another country. Step 2 Click the Network option from the menu that appears. Step 3 Select Band to begin the band selection. Step 4 Click on the band option that you want to activate a GPRS connection, such as 850/1900, 900/1800 or automatic if you are uncertain of the GPRS band. Step5 Turn the device off and then back on if it does not automatically select the band and you have selected the automatic option. Create a Network Connection to Activate GPRS Step1 Access the main menu on the phone to get to the settings menu. Step 2 Click Network, and then Network Setup (which usually appears as an option but depends on your model of phone). Step 3 Select Manual or Automatic. Note: You want to set your phone's option to Automatic so you can establish a GPRS connection with your mobile provider. However, select Manual if you want to choose a different network. Step 4 Make sure that your phone connects and you can begin to make calls. Reset the Phone to Activate GPRS Step1 Pull the battery out of your phone while it is turned on. Note: It is necessary to reset your phone at times if there are network glitches or coverage issues. This will re-establish your connect with a mobile provider's network. Step 2 Wait approximately 30 seconds, then re-insert the battery. Step 3 Press and hold the red Power button on your phone to turn it on. Step 4 Make sure that your phone displays the GPRS icon in the status bar to verify you are reconnected with your network.
