- Lifting torque of 400 tons. Meters, also known as 4000KN/m, refers to the QTZ400 tower crane, the general maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons, big arm 70 meters, the most front-end hanging 5.2 tons, independent height of about 70 meters. Normally we say QTZ40 tower crane is lifting torque of 40 tons. Meters, 400KN/m.
- Q: I've heard of people making 1000 origami cranes as a wedding gift or decoration. I am making them as a gift for my sister-in-law and her husband, whose new baby is due next month. I'm up to 730, so I need to keep plugging away! My question is how should I display them? I've heard of putting them in a gallon jar. I was also thinking of making strings of 100. - That is a good answer. Ordinary cranes build the steel frame to a height of perhaps 60 feet. The frame is designed so a specially designed crane can climb up the side (like climbing a ladder) to about 50 feet where the climbing crane can complete the frame to about 100 feet, then the crane can climb to the 90 foot level and build the frame to about 150 feet etc. Another method is the floor at about the 60 foot level is completed and extra strong. A crane is assembled on that floor and can complete the steel frame to about 100 feet where another extra strong floor is built. The crane at 60 feet is then dismantled and moved to the floor at the 100 foot level, or perhaps this is a second crane. Repeat until the full height of the building is frame work. As cranes are removed at the lower levels, more floors can be installed and some of the finishing work done. Either way, you can see why very tall buildings are very expensive. Likely both methods are used for some very large and very tall buildings. Neil

- You need to do a specific amount of hours in training to be a crane operator in Australia, I know that in Sydney, you are certified by the WorkCover Authority, or that's how it was many yeas back. Special emphasis is on loads, and point of load. We do not need a mobile crane tipping over do we. Safety, working near electrical, and on soft ground. Weight you can extend to on a jib. etc.
- Q: Today, my boyfriend surprised me with an origami bird he'd made for me the night before, just for no reason. He told me he'd tried to make a crane but it got to be to complicated. I thought an was an incredibly sweet gesture, and I thanked him thoroughly. I was wondering if it would be nice to give him an origami something back? I found a really easy video on how to make cranes and I made one, but I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to show him up, I just want to show my gratitude. Would it be best to give him the crane, give him a different origami animal, or just let the whole thing go? Sorry if it seems like I'm over thinking this, I just really like him :)

- Q: Two cranes are lifting identical steel beams at the time.One crane is putting out twice as much power as the other assuming friction is neglible, what can you conclude is happening to explain this difference?
- You suggested they are lifting comparable metallic beams. we do no longer be responsive to if the cranes are comparable of their overall performance. Are they the two lifting the load in an analogous way? would be one is shifting it vertically against gravity and yet another one is shifting it horizontally. The motor performance and the operator studies would be diverse. using and coasting would reason substantial adjustments.
