Q: Can you pleat crepe-back satin?: Yes you can pleat crepe back satin. Pleating any fabric is something for a seasoned sewer or one that has a pleating machine. Have you check the price of a seamstress pleating fabric. I would think they would charge a lot to do it. To hand make pleats all the way down a dress and iron them in is very very time consuming. This process is usually done by an industrial machine.

Q: How do you get wax off of cloth made of:64%polyester,33%rayon & 3% spanddex?: i used wax baking paper on a piece of clothes the wax transfered directly from shirt to wax paper ! i tried this cause grandma did this with gum on pants so wax baking paper i would say! all this using a hot iron for shirts !

Q: The couch is made out of 80% cotton, 15% viscose/rayon, 5% polyester. I spilled 2 drops on the couch then tried to remove it with damp cloth but it‘s only made it worse. To take of the cover for 2 drops to dry clean is crazy as I only received them 2 days ago. Any ideas will be welcome? Thank you in advance.: try oxyc;ean mix some in a bowl with some water and scrub the stain away.you will find it at your local supermarket in the cleaning isle.that should remove the staines.remember wash in cold water.

Q: I had leaned up against a pole that had wet paint with my Black Polyester shirt and tried to get it out with water and wet cloths, but was wondering if someone might know for sure how to get it out? Q: sometimes after a long day in tight pants i have a reddish skin irration on my thighs, i thought something was wrong with me but i found out several friends of mine, about 12 have it aswell and we figured it has to be some kind of allergy or irritation against polyester, or whatever the cloth is made of.its like, reddish stains, and goes away after some minutes.does anyone know what it is exactly ?also, my mother has cellulites and i fear getting it when im older.like two friends of mine (age 14) already have it, and i really dont want it so is there any way i can prevent it???:S: its like asking what oil to use. You will need a core board, fiberglass mat, fiberglass cloth, polyester or epoxy resins and catalysts. You also should get a gel coat. Equipment is minimal. Work with heavy rubber gloves. You need solvents too. Inquire at the shop you deal with. Acetone may be restricted. Shape the board. Lay on glass mat, wet it out with your resin mix. When it is almost dry lay on the glass cloth, wet it out. Let it dry. Paint on the gel coat. You need to experiment with your lay-up so to get it stiff. You can also try building with Kevlar cloth.

Q: I have a thin coat I have to wear to work as a waitress and it always smells funny. I can‘t describe the smell exactly, all I know is that it smells weird (stale, maybe?) and I can‘t get rid of it no matter how much I wash it. It worsens after each work day and I think it‘s a combination of food particles in the cloth and just the fabric itself. It looks homemade (no tag) and feels like a polyester/rayon type cloth. I wash it in cold water with powder detergent every night and dry it on Medium heat.Please tell me there‘s something I can do to change/get rid of the way this thing smells. Something to soak it in? A new way of washing it? Anything?: Don't look now but, this is required by many departments.
