Wholesale Price Of Silicon Carbide/Black Silicon Carbide

Product Description

1. Description

Black silicon carbide is produced at high temperature in an electric resistance type furnace with

quarts sand and petroleum coke as its main raw materials. Its hardness is between fused alumina

and synthetic diamond. Mechanical intensity of it is higher than fused alumina. It is sharp and

has electrical and heat conductivity in some degree.

2. Application

As the abrasive: used for abrasive, such as grinding wheels, whetstone, grinding wheel, sand

 tiles etc.

As the metallurgical deoxidizer and high temperature material.

Four main application areas of SiC: functional ceramics, advanced refractory, abrasives and

 metallurgical materials.

High purity single crystal, used to manufacture semiconductors, manufacture of silicon carbide fibers.

Silicon carbide is very hard, with excellent thermal conductivity, as a semiconductor and high

temperature resistant to oxidation.

3. Partical Size

Lumps: 0-20mm, 0-50mm.

Grains: 0-1mm, 1-3mm, 3-5mm, 5-8mm, 0-5mm, 0-10mm, 1-10mm, etc.

7/14, 14/30, 36/70, etc.

-100mesh, -200mesh, -325mesh, etc.

Grits: F12-90, F100-240.

  Micropowder : F 280-600.

*Note: the size can be based on customer’s requirement.

4. Packing

Q: Who knows the refractoriness of high temperature lightweight firebricks?
pores of high temperature lightweight refractory bricks is made by lightweight aggregate such as combustibles, foaming?agent, and hollow?sphere production with better thermodynamic stability. Refractoriness reaching 1200 ℃ or more is first grade refractories. fire resistance of building blocks of 100mm thick can reach 225 minutes, 200mm thick brick 480 minutes.
Q: Is fireclay corrosive?
No. All of the refractory materials have stable chemical properties and their usability can be guaranteed under high temperatures.
Q: What do we mean by saying that a ladle cover knots, elbow knots, blowpipe knots in refractory materials? What is the “knot”?
A less accurate view of the statement is probably the meaning of the “construction of refractory material" , for example, pouring castable can be called “knot”, the pounding of the construction can also be said that, so it is with spraying paint.
Q: What things and cement mixed can act as refractory?
Cement acts as cementing material. Itself works by refractory aggregate and stir the refractory material for its gelling refractory aggregate both should be fire-resistant.
Q: What are the characteristics of the carbon composite refractories?
The features of carbon composite refractories: 1. It is with an aggressive high thermal shock resistance 2. Good resistance to molten steel and slag
Q: Ask some questions about refractories
Is a kind of refractory material, jargon called hook materialThe iron runner: a combination of the super high Los resistant technology, aluminum and corundum, silicon carbide and other raw materials, to high-quality composite binders and additives, strict proportioning, elaborate. The utility model has the advantages of good slag resistance, good thermal shock resistance, long service life, convenient use, simple construction, and obvious reduction of labor intensity of workers.Application: it is suitable for blast furnace tapping system.
Q: Are refractory materials and fireproofing materials the same?
The refractory material and fireproofing material are not the same in the strict sense. Refractories refer to non-metallic materials of which refractoriness are higher than 1580 degrees. Now commonly used heat insulation materials can also be considered as refractory materials. The fire endurance of fireproof materials reaches certain requirements. Its test temperature is 540 degrees. Range of applications for two material are not the same. Refractory materials can be used in high-temperature region as it can withstand high temperature. Fireproof materials can not be used under high temperatures for a long time.
Q: What's meaning of CN of fire-resistant material?
The commonly used preparation methodsinclude shock compression, high-pressure pyrolysis, ion implantation, reactive sputtering, plasma chemical vapor deposition, electrochemicaldeposition, ion beam sputtering, , low-energy ion radiation, pulsed arc discharge, pulsed laser inducing, etc. But the compounding result of superhard materialis not ideal due to deposition of amorphous CN film, nanometer level sizedC3N4 crystalline grain set in the amorphous film and few large graincrystal.
Q: what textures of furnace refractories are good?
First, it depends on the kiln. If it is the cubic kiln, the top and the wall portion should use alumina hollow ball bricks. The bent seal and kiln car use heavy corundum bricks. If it is the consecutive kiln, the burning zone shall all use the alumina hollow ball bricks, and both the burning zone bent seal and the brick kiln car bent seal use the heavy corundum bricks. Ifit is the pit furnace, furnace walls and roof use the alumina hollow ball bricks, and the bottom of the furnace use heavy corundum bricks.
Q: Are there any differences between insulation and refractory materials ?
First, refractory materials can resist more than 1200 degrees, some of which are not insulation materials, such as firebricks, which can directly contact with heat source, has little insulation effect. Ceramic fiber, high silica, etc. are all refractory materials which can insulate. Second, insulation materials with poor performance usually is lower than 800 degrees, which have large thermal resistance, and low thermal conductivity, high porosity. Thus they reduce the thermal loss. To put it simply, insulation materials store most of the heat and only let a small part of heat lose through the air, thus the heat has been isolated. Glass fiber, rock wool, flexible material for thermal insulation, etc.
