Aluminium is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleablemetalwith appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surfaceroughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easily ignite. A fresh film ofaluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately 92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (asmuch as 98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strengthof pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa, while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from200 MPa to 600 MPa. Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is easily machined, cast, drawn and extruded.
Aluminium alloys (or aluminum alloys; see spellingdifferences) are alloysin which aluminium(Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon, tin and zinc. There are twoprincipal classifications, namely casting alloys and wrought alloys, both of which are furthersubdivided into the categories heat-treatableand non-heat-treatable. About 85% of aluminium is used for wrought products, for example rolled plate, foils and extrusions.Cast aluminium alloys yield cost-effective products due to the low meltingpoint, although they generally have lower tensile strengthsthan wrought alloys. The most important cast aluminium alloy system is Al–Si,where the high levels of silicon (4.0–13%) contribute to give good castingcharacteristics. Aluminium alloys are widely used in engineering structures andcomponents where light weight or corrosion resistance is required

- Q: What's the highest temperature of aluminum foil paper?
- If not considering the open fire, it is no problem that the temperature of using the electric oven exceeding 300 degree and the producing process has anneal process.the temperature has exceeded 400 degree.
- Q: he won't eat veggies, even if I chop mix in, if he can taste it, he spits outi don't think he tries to be a brat, he actually gags I guess somehow his taste pallet just doesn't like ithe's not a big meat eater either, only occasionallyand yes, he'd rather not eat than have to eat something he doesn't wantso he is starting kinder, what do i pack for lunch? i can only think of bread/pb/cheese stix/raisins (he won't eat nuts either), apple sauce, some apple/pear/grapesI don't want to load up with heavily processed junk foodsuggestions please?
- yes except fo the deep frying part it is all fatty grease
- Q: will these materials make a coin battery to make lightbulb up?
- try a couple of sheets of toilet paper if you can't get blotter wires are fine but your shipping costs are probably double the value of the partstry radio shack or pull wires out of junk hardware and solder paperclips on or solder direct to coins, bulbs, LEDs etcyou can probably find LEDs in junk hardware not sure about the bulb current/voltagemaybe - or just add coins
- Q: Is it Aluminum, Gold, Silver,or None of the aboveIf its none of the above go find it!
- Not on top of the stove, but in the oven like Darlincar said.
- Q: recipes are welcome
- buy a box of your favorite pasta, a 2 jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce, a bag of shredded mozzarella, sliced pepperoni (optional) put the whole box of RAW pasta in a baking dish such as a lasagne pan, put both entire jars of spag sauce over top of the raw pasta, fill the empty spaghetti jars with water and pour over the pasta and sauce, stir mixture well, add in 1/2 of your bag of shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and stir wellcover lasagne dish with aluminum foil, bake on 400 for 45 minutes, pull out of the oven and put remaining mozzarella on top of the pasta, cover it back up with aluminum foil, and bake for an additional 15 minutesyou have a clean stove, pasta, and a full belly in an hour.
- Q: In my design class, we have to make an 8x4x10quot; shopping bag with handlesThe quot;bagquot; is actually going to be the thickness of bristol paper, or a little thinnerFor the handles, we have to use a hole puncher and grommetsI already bought the rope I want to use for the handles, and I thought a 3/4quot; hole would do the trick.I came back from a craft store more confused than ever when it comes to an appropriate grommet, and a hole puncher that has a large enough opening to fit thicker paperMy husband suggested sticker hole reinforcers, but they only come in 1/4quot;Can someone please point me in the right direction? I tried looking on Amazon too, and didn't see anythingThanks!
- Did you try a sailmaker? It sounds as though spur grommets are what you are looking forIf you are making a shopping bag out of bristol paper and you want to use a rope for a handle, you're going to need more reinforcement than just a grommetWhat I would do is at the edge where the handles will go, fold the top inside at least 3 x the width of the reinforced opening for the handleConcealed inside the fold, I would put a thin strip of nylon (say 2 wide by 2 past the holes) to act as a reinforcementOther things you could use for reinforcement: cardboard, aluminum, duct tape, hardware cloth-look around at your local Home Depot or Lowe's You could incorporate a strip of tooled leather into the design-it should support grommets.
- Q: Can someone please explain to me how to do thisI understand the mole everything I'm just not 100% sure of the correct equation to work this outThank you.
- Half inch syrofoam insulation will do the trickIt comes in 8 ftby 4 ftsheets and will have to be paneled over
- Q: How to repair a small hairline crack on an aluminum 16 ft boat?
- there are ways to weld aluminum but i would leave that to a professionalthe next best solution i would think is to use some sort of caulk but that would be a temporary fixwelding would be a very good but more expensive fix.
- Q: What are the different design types of a aluminum 24 foot extension ladderplz help.
- You'll not be able to obtain the resistance of these materials using a normal ohmmeterThere are however tables available on various conductivity of materialsSince resistivity is a function of conductivity, you'll be able to find your answer by looking at its conductivity.
- Q: Does it cook faster? slower? Does it matter?.or is it just a matter of the rolling process that makes one side shiny and the other dull.any chemists or knowledgeable cooks/chefs out there? Just curious.I usually cook shiny side out.??????
- Which side of Reynolds Wrap? Aluminum Foil should I use, the shiny or the dull side? Actually, it makes no difference which side of the aluminum foil you use—both sides do the same fine job of cooking, freezing and storing foodThe difference in appearance between dull and shiny is due to the foil manufacturing processIn the final rolling step, two layers of foil are passed through the rolling mill at the same timeThe side coming in contact with the mill's highly polished steel rollers becomes shinyThe other side, not coming in contact with the heavy rollers, comes out with a dull or matte finishThe exception is when using Reynolds Wrap? Release? Non-Stick Aluminum FoilThe non-stick coating is applied during manufacturing to the dull side of the foilAlways place the non-stick (dull) side toward the food.
