Detail Information for Turn-Key Steel Silo Top
Silo top design should have the careful and rigorous pressure calculation for the conveyor feeding system at full load operation condition, the space arrangement for up-down connection type conveyors, the trestle, the gate valve etc. Ventilation Mouth and Emergency Pressure Relief Valve are must.

- Q: Objective, to wipe out their army, navy + air-force. Also the nuclear plants + missile silos. (total 1200 targets)84 hour operation, all from the air.
- hahahaha it Not gonna be that easy ill promise But if you are fool enough to try it wait for UNPREDICTABLES
- Q: Would people be able to survive indefinitely with radiation and nuclear winter at other places not directly hit?
- Holocaust would mean to any extent of operation and damage and not just limited to a single targeted territory and so the extent of devastation would not be gauged just by a simple question and answering in the way others are attempting to! Any nuclear war, if we foresee a one, would never be a limited war game and would stretch the world over, with a fallout of a nuclear winter, just darkness for not less than ten thousand years as per the lowest estimates and would wipe out all that on earth and nothing would have a surviving possibility, and by no plants to grow for a hundred centuries the life forms would all vanish, leaving the nature to orient a plan of its own to generate the life forms as species by evolution once again and to make men and women like us, perhaps in just another hundred millions years from now!
- Q: A silo is to be constructed in the form of a cylinder (only 1 of 2 bases included) topped by a hemisphere. The construction cost per square unit of surface area for the hemisphere is 1.6 times as much for the cylinder and the volume must be 850000 cubic feet. If construction costs are to be minimized, what should the radius be?I don't even know how to make an equation describing it, how do I solve this?
- A_cyl = pi r^2 + 2 pi r H A_cap = 2 pi r^2 Cost = Cost_cyl * (1.6 * A_cap + A_cyl) V_cyl = pi r^H V_cap = 2/3 pi r^3 V = V_cap + V_cyl = 850000 ft^3 ===== Minimize cost: 1) Write Cost(r) by substituting Cost and area eqns above. 2) Use the volume relationships to eliminate H from the expression. 3) Compute d(Cost)/dr 4) Find r when d(Cost)/dr = 0 5) Reject the solution r=0.
- Q: A cow is teathered to a silo of diameter 30 feet on a 100 foot length of rope. How much area can the cow graze on? - This is not a circle involute the rope is longer than the arc length of 15pi- also it is not the same as all the other cow/goat grazing questions I have seen so please dont tell me to look at the othersAny help would be appreciated. This is the first time my son has asked me a question I cant seem to figure out.
- sounds like just finding the area of 2 circles... (pi * r^2) you have the larger circle that the cow can walk around (assuming that the rope can go perfectly 100 ft around the silo) where the radius is 100 ft + half the diameter of the silo: 100 + (30/2) = 115 ft radius then you have the smaller circle in the middle that the cow can't eat out of... radius is half the diameter (30/2) = 15 ft radius So find the area of the big circle and subtract the area of the small circle.... i think hope it helps!
- Q: No movies cus thats not fun... its lame. Me, and some friends want to go and do something fun and cant decide. PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!! Thx and PLEASE post soon! Were leaving to do anything ( cant think of the anything ) tommorow at 8 AMTHANX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Go rockclimbing at your local rockcliming silo, or if you live by mountains, go real rockclimbling. Get foam swords and have an epic battle. Sneak some people into the drive in. Camp out. Go to the 12:00 first showing of a movie dress up for it. Get your nails done. make your own movie. Form a band have a garage concert. Have a picnic, chinese style. Have a cookoff. Waterballooon fight. Make your own slip n slide. Make a fort. Have a Danceoff.
- Q: How much CFM is required to move cement from a 1500 silo through 4 delivery hoses? What pressure is required?
- You need to know more about the system arrangement, such as length of the hose array, pressure drop through the hose and other piping, change in elevation, specific gravity of the cement, etc.. The CFM achieved is a result of the pressure in the system. For a given system a specific CFM will result from a given pressure.
- Q: Im writing a paper and I forgot what its called. They are really big and shaped like a can. Farmers put wheat or corn into it if they have too much or to store it for the winter.
- A silo.
- Q: How are Missile silos constructed? how are they converted to homes? and how much would a missile silo cost for the public to buy? I need exact answers.. and if you could, send me a website link to where you got your knowledge about missile silos.. ^_^ Thank you for those who take my question seriously... (It's extra credit for science and I really need the extra credit...)
- sorry i didnt undertand jeje byebye amcfemale kisses
- Q: A silo is to be constructed in the form of a cylinder surmounted by a hemisphere. The cost of construction per square foot surface area is twice as much for the hemisphere as for the cylinder. Determine the dimensions to be used if the volume is fixed (100m^3) and the cost is to be minimum.
- Surface area times cost = 2x PI r h + 2x pi r^2 + 4x pi r^2 x being the cost Volume = pi r^2 h +(2/3) pi r^3 =100 pi r^2 h =100 - (2/3) pi r^3 h = 100 / pi r^2 - (2/3) r ---(1) cost=2x PI r h + 2x pi r^2 + 4x pi r^2 plug in 'h' from (1) and differentiate w.r.t 'r' set this equal to 0 and solve for r
- Q: how do people make dryed milk?
- You mean evaporated milk powder, right? It is done in a large milk plant which has a dehydration tower, a big building which looks like a huge silo. Inside the evaporator are gas jets. I don't know if you know what a venturi tube is, but essentially a venturi tube is a small instrument that is small on one side and big on the other side in terms of diameter. Under pressure, the liquid is shot through the venturi tube. The pressure on one side of the tube is much lower and on the out-end side it is very high, and so the liquid is turned into a spray, a very fine mist. The misted milk spray then hits the heat of the gas jets in the dryer. This instantly evaporates the liquid from the milk and the dried powder falls down the silo to a collection point under the evaporator. This machine is called a Falling Film Evaportator for this reason, for larger particles are only partially evaporated at the top of the silo and as the particles fall down throught the silo, they hit more gas jets and continue to be totally evaporated by the time the particles reach the collection point. The answer to your question is, it is done in a large machine called a falling film evaporator unit.
