Q: The machinery will be depreciated over ten years using the double-declining balance method. If depreciation is computed on the basis of the nearest full month, Foley should record depreciation expense for 2007 on this machinery of $20,800. $20,400. $20,550. $20,933.
Assume the machine useful life is 10 years Double-declining-balance method Rate: Double of straight-line rate 100%/10=10% x 2 =20% Depreciation Expense: Year 2006: $120,000 x 20% =$24,000 (whole year) $24,000/12=$2,000 (every month) There are only 8 months (May-Dec.) $2,000 x 8 = $16,000 Year 2007: ($120,000-16,000) x 20% = $20,800 Unlike the other depreciation methods, salvage value is ignored in determining the amount to which the declining balance rate is applied. Depreciationn stops when the asset's book value equals expected salvage value.
Q: Trading of machinery, minerals, antiques
is worth two in the bush?
Q: In what ways did the increased use of machinery affect workers and working conditions?
Workers production increased a thousand-fold
Q: How long did Noah take to design and build his 3 phase electronic machinery to build the Ark?
In no time. Because he did not use electronic machinery. So it took zero seconds
Q: Were the Luddites justified in their attacks on machinery?
Turning point in history Many historians would deem the Luddite riots as unsuccessful, while many others would say that they had a huge impact on society. The Luddites changed the views of people during the Industrial Revolution. They brought the rights of the workers to the attention of England. A turning point in history is often thought of as a well-known and dramatic event that took place and completely changed the world. The riots of the Luddites are not very well-known. However, their actions led to many significant changes in the world. Politically, the actions of the Luddites brought the idea of having a society based on industrialization into the eyes of the public and open to debate. People were forced to look more closely at the positive and negative effects of having an industrial society. The machine question continues tobe unanswered today. The riots became a turning point because the flaws of the Industrial Revolution were brought to the surface and the government could no longer ignore the opinions of the working class. The Luddites stories circulated England, showing the strong resistance and bravery of the English men. People realized that if one is disciplinedand organized, he will be successful in his battles. The Luddites als brought about the ideas that technology is never neutral and some are even hurtful. For example, while the while the Spinning Jenny was beneficial to the textile industry, it also put several spinners out of business. The Luddite rebels uncovered the dark side to the Industrial Revolution!
Q: What kinds of construction machinery are needed for urban landscaping?
The lawn mower, brush cutter, spraying machine, general unit commonly used tools will buy their own, if you have a relationship that can be purchased, the most commonly used, and large tools such as cranes, especially money! The most commonly used transplanting trees, at least 300, a lucrative business!
Q: I'm not sure what plant and machinery is and which is used in schools, any answers will be very helpful.
Schools, Hospital and etc are non-profit motive institutions: so there is no chance for plant machinery
Q: What kind of technology or machinery is used in the dental office for basic procedures (such as fillings, cleaning, extractions, crowns, bridgework, dentures, etc..)If you're familiar with any of them, please let me knowww....Will give you a Best Answer ...thanks
Lasers are a real big thing in dental offices, they are minimally invasive, which means they take away the least amount of your natural tooth structure, and they are very precise. you get to keep as much healthy tooth structure as possible and you still get fillings done. we use ultrasonic cleaners to clean your teeth. for crowns and bridgework there is a, new to america and canada, machine called Cerec in office crowns. you get your crowns or bridges in one sitting rather than two, the crown gets madein the office, rather than being sent to a lab, and its made outta material taht is closest to natural tooth structure as possible. also digital x rays deliver 1/8 the amount of radiation compared to traditional x ray machines. check out your local dentist listings for an up to date in technology dental office.
Q: Is there a site in the internet or any e-book that will tell me how to make things? like software engineering or mechanical engineering? Maybe a step by step instruction book on how to invent.Same with programming...I would like that too!
College
Q: First Edition - 1914 - in fair condition - how much is it worth?
Wow what a find. I'd say a few hundered bucks to the right person depending on the condition. The information inside is obsolete. I would honestly contact some place like the Smithsonian to see if they would like it for a display. I would love to thumb through it to see what type of stuff they had in it then. I know the one I have now has so much awesome stuff about everything.
