- Q: What about the title of Mechanical Engineer?
- The second basic examinations are divided into 2 half day, each for 4 hours. Professional examination is divided into professional knowledge and professional case two parts, each part content is 2 half day, each half day is 3 hours. Article third in line with the "mechanical design registration Machinery Engineer System Provisional Regulations" eighth requirements, and has one of the following conditions, may apply for the basic examination:
- Q: You purchased a piece of machinery for $180,000. The machine's salvage value is $5,000 and its useful life span is 10 years. a) Using Straight Line Depreciation, what is the annual depreciation?b) Write an equation that relates Value to Time using the information given above.c) What would be the machine's value at the end of 6 years?d) What would be its value after 14 years?
- a) (180,000 - 5,000) / 10 = $17,500 per year b) Value = Purchase Price - (Annual Depr. * Years in Service) Not sure if this is what you're looking for. c) 180,000 - (17,500 * 6) = $75,000 d) Anytime after 10 years, value will simply be Salvage Value ($5,000).
- Q: i wouldn't believe this, but ....whenever my daughter becomes upset...things just stop working. has anyone else seen this phenomina
- No evidence for this. James Randi offers $1 Million to anyone who can prove paranormal phenomena. It's just coincidence, but if you think otherwise, get together with some others and produce a study and go for the $1M.
- Q: Where can I post pictures of an antique farm gear box and get replies as to :What is it? It was recently found under an old building. Everything seems to work freely.Ron
- can you identify the manufacturer? McCormick, McCormick Farm-all was one of the earliest manufacturers of farm machinery, you may find flecks or red paint. there should be identifying marks, google the manufacturer, who ever it is. It should work freely; if it is as old as i am thinking it was made of cast iron.
- Q: My boyfriend is looking into becoming a heavy equipment operator, ive been looking for informations but i cant quite find any!I wanted to know things like is it in high demand and if he would make ok money? We live in Canada but if you live in the states ide still love to hear from you! So here are a few of my questions:-Do they make good money?-Do you have to move alot?-Is it a steady job, like an everyday thing?-Is it easy to move up in a company? (and possibly make more money?)Dont think im in this just for the money because im not :P i just think its important to make sure that you can support a family before you actually get into doing a job! Thanks a lot guys!!
- what exactly will he want to do? technician or operator? what type of machine ? these fields aren't going anywhere and most of them are steady. pay can range from $30K - $40K depending where you live and your training level. as for moving up in the company.... no idea. it all depends if the company trains you or sends you out for more training. then yes, they will want to keep you longer if they are investing money in you and will give you raises to keep you happy.
- Q: What boat propulsion machinery is steam driven?
- Many modern ships are powered with electric motors. The electric generators are sometimes powered by steam driven turbines, sometimes gas turbines. Some ships have propulsion driven directly with steam turbines. -- Regards, John Popelish
- Q: A 20kw,200V shunt generator is operated at rated load. if the driving engine is developing 30bhp (break horse power), determine the iron and friction losses.Answer is IFL=1039W.Thanks a lot.
- 746 watts = 1 hp 30 brake hp are going into the sysystem so 30*746 watts is going into the generator = 22,350 watts if 20,000 watts is leaving the system as electrical power, that only leaves 350 watts available for losses.
- Q: Viruses use the host cell machinery to replicate. However, some viruses replicate their genomes by a mechanism that host cell cannot support. How can these types of viruses infect and replicate in their host, when the host cell cannot perform a particular role that the virus requires?a) The viral genome encodes the specialized enzymes that the host does not have.b) The virus causes mutations in the human cells, resulting in the formation of new enzymes that are capable of performing these roles.c) The virus infects only those cells and species that can perform all the necessary replication roles.d) Viruses can stay in a quiescent state until the host cell evolves this ability. e) All of the above have been frequently observed.
- Viruses replicate with the aid of inserting their genetic code into the gene pool of the host mobilephone, this replicating together with the phone because the telephone goes by means of its cycles. Finally, the virus destroys the host mobile so it may well move to other cells where it may well infect and replicate in greater numbers.
- Q: Anyone know anything about Machinery Technician (MK) in the coast guard reserves? Is it true they would train you on working with engines? Anyone know if positions are guaranteed in CG or no? The website says 12 weeks in Yorktown, VA, *or* on the job training, has anyone ever gotten on the job training for this position instead and where at?
- the MK does all the engine repairs for the most part, aside from the muliti missions of search and rescue, law enforcement and boarding. the have guaranteed school IF there is availability. when you go to a recruiter as if there is or not for that time. on the job training is called striking. if you score high enough on your ASVAB you can have the option to strike, which means you will follow around a MK to learn everything rather than go to school. it takes a but longer but Worth it for people who really dont do well with classes. striking can occur where ever they send you-doesn't have to be one specific place
- Q: mchineries for burgers, sausages, frankforters. minced meat, luncheons, etc.
- I'm not sure...you should google that.
