For starters, I can tell you that an acoustic ceiling is designed and constructed of such material that will cut down on noise and echoes. They are used in many types of construction. For the most part, you don't need to worry about mesothelioma unless you have asbestosis. Asbestos does not cause lung cancers besides mesothelioma.
