Q: my grandma's dog is afraid of smoke detectors and wont stop panting and shaking. he is constantly under her feet. he is even afraid if he hears it on television
I'm not completely sure what you are asking but the center line radius of any long radius 90 deg ell is 1.5 times the nominal diameter or in the case of a 4 ell, 6 inches. Short radius ells are equal to the nominal pipe size.
Q: You and the love of your life have a choice to make, which would it be and why?
The Big Bang was not an explosion that spewed galaxies out into the void. There is no explosion and there is no void. Thus there is no ahead nor any behind, because there is no line of galaxies flying away from any explosion. The universe is and always has been uniformly filled with matter/energy absolutely everywhere in space. All points in space are becoming more distant from all other points.

have it welded shut ,o2 sensors have a different thread than pipe fittings.
Q: cant really figure it outcan you?
if you are re-plumbing the house it is best that you use schedule 40 PVC as it is the strongest and will last longer than any other pipe .. buy the purple PVC glue as it holds better than any other glues ..
Q: Can someone translate this to english (from korean)?
Burst implies a domestic water pipe, hot or cold, so the answer will be based on that implication. Determine the size of the pipe. Likely it will be either 1/2 or 3/4, likely copper. Determine the extent of the burst. If from a freeze, likely it will be a split along the length of the pipe, anything from a few inches to (rarely) over a foot. Go to your local big-box store and purchase a length of PEX of the appropriate size that is at least six inches longer than the damaged area. PEX usually comes in short pre-cut lengths or in a 100' or 200' roll. A pre-cut length will do it in most case. Purchase two Shark-Bite couplings to match. If you do not have a pipe-cutter, for what you will save from calling a plumber, you can afford to buy one, and a good one at that. The PEX can be cut with a sharp kitchen knife. Cut out the bad section + a little bit from each end - 3 or so. Cut the PEX to match the gap, less about 1/2 on either side. Install the fittings - left end fitting to copper; PEX; right end fitting to PEX; fitting to copper. Be sure to bottom the fittings as you go. Less than $40 including a Ridgid pipe cutter. Less than $20 otherwise. It is not rocket science, all you need is patience and a little bit of hand-strength. Ask the person in the store to show you how to use the cutter, and even how to use the fittings. Once you learn, you will be prepared for the next time. NOTE: If you use a hack-saw to cut the pipe ILO a tubing cutter, be sure to cut slowly and not force the pipe out-of-round. Cut all the way through - don't be tempted to break off the last bit. Clean the rough edges with a file and get the marl (cutting waste) out as best you can. In either case, when you turn the water back on, run a hose or tub fixture for at least a minute to get any displaced particles out. Good luck with it.
Q: Our sub-division recently added speed bumps to prevent speeding traffic. The ISD is now saying they will not allow their buses to pick up the kids. There will be one pick up at the front of the sub-division, which for some would be a 15 min walk. This will create a large group of kids congregating and also there are no sidewalks leading to the point where they want them to meet. What do you all think?
the pipe to the shower to crack You would have to be able to deal with the piping material. There are fittings called 'sharkbite' that might make it easier, if it isn't galvanized piping. knob that turns it on/off and hot/cold is what broke off. You can probably get a replacement, but you'll need to know who the manufacturer is. Maybe a kindly soul at a hardware store can help you out. If you want it fixed fast - call a plumber. Otherwise you may be in for a 'learning experience' and it may take some time. I'm a plumber and when my car breaks, I go to an auto mechanic. I could probably fix most things myself, but they're better at it than I am.
Q: do they remove the tooth? will he be able to drive back? Will he be able to talk immediately after it? thanks
I doubt you can. The US alone in the world persists in using IMPERIAL (that's pertaining to the BRITISH empire of course) measures even after we Brits ( who invented them) got smart and went metric - except for beer in pints - that would have been going too far. There may be a progressive US manufacturer switched on to the changing world order outside your shores, or maybe not. Give up the contract to a European company, save yourself some grief.
Q: When was the lightning rod invented?
According to my Perry's reference there are pipe thread standards up to 24 inch but you typically only see threaded piping in sizes of about 3 inch and below.
Q: This is a heat lamp used in a room where small animals are kept. The sheet metal I'm talking about is located directly above the heating bulb. It reaches quite hot temps. the side is broken off it. i need a high temp glue of some sort to glue it back on. it must be able to not only withstand temps that would normally scorch or melt rubber, but also withstand them without putting out any kind o vapor or fume. there are small animals in this room, so any fumes or vapors could be harmful and must be avoided.
tricky issue. search with the search engines. that might help!
Q: Lightning RodYou draw all eyes to you. There is power and majesty in your bluster.Though the danger is very real, the audience stands in awe,not knowing how to describe what they are looking for. They stand and in a flash you are gone.Leaving behind charred remains.Comments/Critiques?
Pretty dicey giving fire and respiratory hazard advice here. Most heating devices need to be properly ventilated for efficient operation as well as safety. Before removing any pipes, I would contact your local fire department and ask them to look at it. After all, that is their profession.
