Q: how virus effects on operating system of mobile phone during accessing internet
Mobile phone usually don't get virus unless it is a Symbian, Android, Blackberry. Java phones cannot have virus. So the virus actually runs on background and consumes all your memory and your phone becomes slow. So just have an antivirus and only download apps certified from GoeTrust, VeriSign, Thwate, or any other but not Darkman.
Q: What is the phone puk code, how can I open?
Puk code 1: PUK (PUK1) code is PIN code (PIN1) unlock code, PIN code (PIN1) is generally modified before the original password is 1234 or 0000.
Q: does T-Mobile offer unlock for every phone?? expensive??
T-Mobile okorder
Q: I use virgin mobile. How do I set it up on yahoo!mobile?
go to the web browser on your phone access yahoo on your phone, yahoo mobile doesn't support all virgin mobile phones just a few they do, mine doesn't support it, I called Virgin Mobile and they told me I could access it on my phone and it works just fine.
Q: Does anyone know when or what type of phones virgin mobile will get this years.
i dont know ;)
Q: a friend from school is going to give me her phone (lg rumour) there is no phone number on it and she hasn't used it since the summer time. for me to activate it, do i just go to a virgin mobile store and say that i want to activate the phone?i also want to get unlimited texting on the phone aswell. (its a prepaid phone) how do i go through with this. plus, anything else that i should know?
If the phone is inactive right now, you can go into a Virgin Mobile store and ask to activate it. Except since it has no phone number, that might be kinda hard. For unlimited texting, I have a $25 plan that gives 300 minutes, and unlimited texting and web. While you're at the store, they can probably start you on that plan. Or you can go into your messaging settings under Balance Usage and change it from there.
Q: I'm deciding to change my mobile phone. Which mobile phone brand looks cool / cute and has good functions. Tell me the name of it and if possible, the picture of it. Thanks. Umm, it's like, there should be cameras in it and all those good functions.Anyone recommend any good ones?
Well i wld intro to u Nokia and Sony Ericson.yeah . these 2 brands have all tt function u want and best of all they are user friendly!!! GooD LuCk!! ;)
Q: I found this online:If you leave your mobile phone charger plugged into the mains you will use the same amount of electricity whether or not your mobile is being charged. So when you've finished charging your phone unplug your charger! Is it true? Surely if the phone isn't connected, there is no circuit, so no power will be used.?
The charger has a transformer in it that uses some power any time it is plugged in. And you risk wearing out the transformer sooner due to power surges if you do not have it on a surge protector. It might consume less power but it is still consuming power by being plugged in.
Q: I have a T-Mobile Shadow. It's old and beat up and I got it in about 2008. I think Its due for an upgrade but I don't know which phones I can get for it. I really want the HTC HD2. I was wondering if I could upgrade to that phone for free or if it would cost anything. Or any other phone for that matter. Preferably a touch screen phone, its just easier.
You need to go to the T-Mobile website and sign into your account or if you haven't set up an online account, do so. All cell phone carriers have their sites set up that will show you 1. If you qualify for an upgrade. 2. How much this upgrade will cost. For instance: Sprint lets me get an upgrade every year. Some phones are absolutely free and some I would have to pay a small fee ( such as a 300. phone I might only pay $50). Also, Sprint will let me upgrade after 6 months however, the credit I get is less. At 6 months, I get $50 and then at 8 months $75 and so on.) If you are not computer savvy and cannot find how to do this on your own, call T-Mobile. They will gladly and willingly direct you to their sales department and tell you what you qualify for. Hope I helped you! :) Edit: Don't forget to come back and vote! And if I helped, let me know!
Q: 950 million phones sold last year and the total worldwide mobile subscriber base grew from 2.1 billion to 2.7 billion. Phones are replaced every 18 months. How many people have more then one mobile phone? what do they do with old theyone?
I would suspect there are a LOT of people who keep at least one old phone around just in case they break their new phone, especially if that old phone is some plain-jane phone that isn't worth much on the used market. If the phone is actually still worth anything on the 2nd hand market, they often get sold on OKorder, craigs list, local newspaper etc. Many, and I mean a LOT of phones never fully survive 2 years. You are also looking at this from a very skewed perspective, that of the 2 year contract or 18 month replacement cycle. In Europe, it is normal to purchase the phone and the service separately, no contract, no subsidy, no waiting 18 or 24 months before replacing a phone. You are free to buy a phone, or many (at retail, maybe $500-$900+ for a smart phone) sell at will, swap your SIM from one to another. It would not be strange to have a phone for work, one for the weekend, an old beater for dirty enviroments Also, if you are someone who just wants a plain old mobile for Emergency use or to make the occasional phone call, there is no reason you can't keep the phone for 3,4,5 years. There are just WAY to many variables between total sold and total subscribers to make any kind of real comparison. If the subscribers grew by 1 billion, but number of phones sold grew by 500 million, then you could conclude that the used phone business is doing very well, but short of that, you just can't make any comparisons from those numbers.
