Q: Hey guys, so I am getting a new phone and have no idea what to get. I had verizon, but after the two year contract, I got to overwhelmed with the price. I usually don't call that much, but I send a very large amount of texts. I want something that is very durable because I do tend to drop all my phones. I was considering the Samsung Intercept, the Blackberry Curve, and the LG Rumor touch.IF you could help me decide if Virgin mobile is worth the money and if the phones are good thatd be great. Also, which one of the phones you like the best.XOX,CALIlt;3
This one is easy. Intercept! It's the most expensive of the three, but it is the only Android phone. The Rumor is crap, and the Curve, in my opinion, sucks compared to an Android phone. If you want a cheaper contract service, go with Sprint (who owns Virgin's towers). You'll pay about the same as going with Virgin (70/mth with 450 minutes, Unlimited Txt, Unlimited Web, Unlimited Sprint TV) and you'll not have to worry if you forget to put money on your phone.because if you forget with Virgin, your phone will cut off. Also, phone wise, the Intercept will run you as low as 20.00 while with Virgin, it'll be more like 250.
Q: if i get a mobile phone on pay monthlywhich 1 can i make international calls withhelp answer pleasefanx
Using WhatsApp on most smart phones resolves this, as long as your friends have it too 1st year free, works over Wi-Fi, you send messages to your friends as long as you have a Wireless link from a hotel, restaurant or anywhere else while travelling It works in Symbian, Android, Balack Berry and even those weird Iphones :-)
Q: I am getting a new cell phone and I have narrowed down my search to three different cell phones which are -T-mobile Blackberry Pearl -T-mobile Dash-T-mobile MDAthey are all international cell phones!Which one should I buy?! and why?!
carefuli bought a Samsung telephone 2 years in the past by using OKorder, and there have been critically greater scratches and nicks than marketed. the telephone close off on it particularly is very own, and the battery slightly held a value (none of which became suggested on by using the seller). genuine, it became an extremely stupid circulate on my section to purchase a telephone with out heavily studying the circumstance (Eh, you study out of your blunders), yet nonetheless, it particularly is totally volatile paying for off of OKorder.
Q: I plan to travel from USA to Germany, and would like to have a mobile phone to keep in touch with my German friends. I have a GSM phone. But if I use my current mobile plan (T-Mobile USA), I will end up with high roaming charges. What's my least expensive option, preferably with free incoming calls in Germany? If it's a German prepaid SIM card, what kind should I look for? Can I order one from home, or buy one after arrival in Germany? Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.
Yes it is Possible submit your Id proof to Airtel Gallery and Purchase Aircel sim .Aircel sim is best sim for internet
Q: I really hate my phone (marbl). I honestly don't like any of virgin mobile phones, although i love their plan. I love tmobile and sprint phones.
No, you can only use Virgin Mobile phones on Virgin Mobile. I've tried to put other phones on it but they never let me. I hate their phones too. Maybe you should just go with a pre paid with another provider, like T-Mobile flex pay. It's pretty much pre paid, but you have to pay full retail price for the phone, but it's worth it. :) Or ATT Go Phone. I don't know how that works really since I went with the Flex Pay, but either way you'd be getting a much better phone. :)
Q: I activated mobile tracker on my samsung phone a few weeks ago, and i lost my phone a few days ago. How do I find my phone using the tracker?
Mobile phone tracking tracks the current position of a mobile phone even on the move. To locate the phone, it must emit at least the roaming signal to contact the next nearby antenna tower, but the process does not require an active call. GSM localisation is then done by multilateration based on the signal strength to nearby antenna masts. Hope this information is helpful for you.
Q: 950 million phones sold last year and the total worldwide mobile subscriber base grew from 2.1 billion to 2.7 billion. Phones are replaced every 18 months. How many people have more then one mobile phone? what do they do with old theyone?
I would suspect there are a LOT of people who keep at least one old phone around just in case they break their new phone, especially if that old phone is some plain-jane phone that isn't worth much on the used market. If the phone is actually still worth anything on the 2nd hand market, they often get sold on OKorder, craigs list, local newspaper etc. Many, and I mean a LOT of phones never fully survive 2 years. You are also looking at this from a very skewed perspective, that of the 2 year contract or 18 month replacement cycle. In Europe, it is normal to purchase the phone and the service separately, no contract, no subsidy, no waiting 18 or 24 months before replacing a phone. You are free to buy a phone, or many (at retail, maybe $500-$900+ for a smart phone) sell at will, swap your SIM from one to another. It would not be strange to have a phone for work, one for the weekend, an old beater for dirty enviroments Also, if you are someone who just wants a plain old mobile for Emergency use or to make the occasional phone call, there is no reason you can't keep the phone for 3,4,5 years. There are just WAY to many variables between total sold and total subscribers to make any kind of real comparison. If the subscribers grew by 1 billion, but number of phones sold grew by 500 million, then you could conclude that the used phone business is doing very well, but short of that, you just can't make any comparisons from those numbers.
Q: I have noticed that all the official songs of famous bands and stuff never allow their vids on mobile phones and my question is WHY??I know they did it on purpose and it's copyright or whatever but WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS? If they will allow their vid on mobile phones they'll get more views
you will have reported your telephone variety. If it helps Flash (no longer digicam flash lol), then you extremely can play youtube movies on it. If no longer then you extremely would be unable to. you are able to acquire them on your laptop and convert it using a 3gp converter. maximum suitable is to attempt with default browser on cellular and not the Opera/the different.
Q: I want my documentaries to be playable on the technologies inside home. The television, the videos and others but they can not play the clips directly from my phone .On the converting software what file format do i say that i want my video clips to look like?
Hi Amuoro, and welcome to Y!A Camcorders: You've been asking about this same thing 5 times over the past month in various other Categories, but never have you said WHICH mobile phone model # you have. Different phones shoot video in different file formats (.3GP, .3GP2, .MP4, etc.). And you need to tell us what kind of computer you have. Editing transcoding (converting) video on a Mac is different than on a Windows PC. One important point, in your Question headline you say you want your phone videos to equal those of bigger camcorders. Most phones do not have the video quality to equal the quality of a bigger camcorder, but you can at least convert them to play normally on a television or YouTube / Netflix style media player. If you want to show or distribute your videos using DVD, then the final video format will be MPEG-2 (or you can use MPEG-4 encoding for Blu-ray HD). But this encoding step is usually handled by the DVD authoring software (Roxio, Nero, iDVD, etc.). For just online distribution viewing (YouTube, etc.), you have a wider choice of video formats for uploading. Since you are relatively new to Yahoo!Answers, you might not know that you can Update your Question using the Additional Details link on the Action Bar below your Question text. Just mouse-over the blue pencil icon Edit menu, and add the details about your phone and computer. This discussion will remain open for at least 4 days, for us to reply. hope this helps, --Dennis C.
Q: I bought this cool mobile phone and i want to set it up for gprs im using mtn and vodacom i calld mtn and they say i must set it manually by the technicians. any one who know how to set it manualy please help i want to browse the internet. im in south africa
To activate the Gprs on mobile phone just follow the steps below: Select a Frequency Band to Activate GPRS: Step1 Access the phone's settings from the phone's main menu. Note: In countries outside of the United States or North America, you typically need to use the 900 MHz/1800 MHz frequency to get a GPRS signal from one of the mobile providers in another country. Step 2 Click the Network option from the menu that appears. Step 3 Select Band to begin the band selection. Step 4 Click on the band option that you want to activate a GPRS connection, such as 850/1900, 900/1800 or automatic if you are uncertain of the GPRS band. Step5 Turn the device off and then back on if it does not automatically select the band and you have selected the automatic option. Create a Network Connection to Activate GPRS Step1 Access the main menu on the phone to get to the settings menu. Step 2 Click Network, and then Network Setup (which usually appears as an option but depends on your model of phone). Step 3 Select Manual or Automatic. Note: You want to set your phone's option to Automatic so you can establish a GPRS connection with your mobile provider. However, select Manual if you want to choose a different network. Step 4 Make sure that your phone connects and you can begin to make calls. Reset the Phone to Activate GPRS Step1 Pull the battery out of your phone while it is turned on. Note: It is necessary to reset your phone at times if there are network glitches or coverage issues. This will re-establish your connect with a mobile provider's network. Step 2 Wait approximately 30 seconds, then re-insert the battery. Step 3 Press and hold the red Power button on your phone to turn it on. Step 4 Make sure that your phone displays the GPRS icon in the status bar to verify you are reconnected with your network.
