Q:hi, i already have my cartlidge pierced on my right ear and thinking about getting a scaffold piercing on my left ear. will a scaffold piercing hurt more than my cartlidge piercing,,less,,or about the same???thanks answers apprecietedhope =] xx: Several people have told me it hurts about the same. I do not have one, sorry couldn't be more help than that.

Q:What does scaffold one's days mean? kill time?: In 60 years of using English in Britain I have not come across that expression, so it is probably rare. Scaffolding is put up to help build or repair tall buildings, so possibly that expression means 'to do something useful with one's time.' But a scaffold is also, historically, a place of execution (legal killing of prisoner), so the expression could mean indeed 'wasting time'. I have a faint feeling that 'scaffold one's days' was written by a non-native speaker of British English. It may be more common in the USA.

Q:I'm reading the novel by nathaniel hawthorne. There seems to be a lot going on in the scaffold scenes that i kind of not understand. Can someone explain the significance of these scenes? Q:Okay, quick question. I dropped into a couple of piercing studios yesterday to inquire about getting a scaffold done. Both places informed me that it's not a good idea to have it pierced with a bar straight off, as the pressure from the jewellery combined with the swelling when first pierced can seriously slow down the healing rate. Is this true? The second place said they will pierce both holes with rings, and these can be changed to a bar after around 6 to 8 weeks.Is this the best option? Thanks for any replies.: Having one bar can definitely put a lot of pressure on the piercing but it's the best way to go about getting an industrial piercing. It can be a difficult piercing to heal is all. If you get two rings it is very likely that one will slightly migrate in angle and that is going to make it impossible to properly fit a bar through the two holes. Plus, 6-8 weeks would be WAY way way too early to change a cartilage piercing. Try 6-12 months. And an industrial will never reject simply because of the bar, it will reject if it was pierced incorrectly or on someone's ear that is not anatomically correct for the piercing. And I promise, from someone who has had helix piercings done with rings and with straight barbells as well as having one single barbell through my industrial your hair can get caught on them all. If the bar fits properly the balls should fit pretty snugly against your ear.

Q:My mom wouldn't let me get snakebites or cyberbites but she will let me get my scaffold pierced. I know people have different things for pain etc etc I know it will hurt but I want it pierced. So, to someone who has gotten it pierced or knows about it is there anything special you have to do to take care of it or is it just like the ear lobe piercing.: it probably does hurt cuz of your cartilage just put rubbing alchahol on it and it should be okay =)

Q:A 67.0- painter is on a uniform 21- scaffold supported from above by ropes. There is a 3.8- pail of paint to one side. The ropes are 1m inside the scaffold on each side. How close to the left end can he approach safely?: First of all...no units, no answer. Second of all...according to OSHA (Occupation Safety and Health Administration), NO ONE can walk on a scaffold beam outside the support ropes OR SET ANY OBJECT DOWN outside the support ropes. Hence the answers for both questions are 1 meter. It doesn't matter what a calculation will yield...NO ONE can walk on the beam outside the support ropes safely. Even if a torque balance yields that it will not put the ropes in compression and buckle them...it still isn't considered to be safe by OSHA if the painter is outside the ropes.

Q:Im hoping to get an industrial/scaffold piercing done at the very beginning of the summer holidays.Is it possible that they can be pierced with 2 separate pieces of jewellery rather than one bar.Also would it be healed in time to take it out once the holidays are over (6 weeks)??Please help??!?Thanks x: Yep, some piercers prefer to do it that way. Just make sure you let them know that that's what you want when you go into the shop and they can accommodate you. No cartilage piercing is healed enough to remove in 6 weeks. Cartilage piercings can take anywhere from 6-12 MONTHS to fully heal.
