- Q: Is there a such thing as a scaffold fracture?
- Are you sure you didn't mean to say Scaphoid Fracture. The scaphoid process is a projection coming from your Scapula(shoulder Blade), that connects with the clavicle( )and humerus(arm). Hope this helps thanks.
- Q: Another from the ministry of silly questions…I’d like to support a lightweight tarpaulin over my back yard. Single slope, high side attached to the house and low side attached to a scaffolding pole, running horizontally between two walls. Fair weather, no high winds or pooling. The run of pole would be 8 meters. The longest poles seem to be 6m, so I need to use a coupling. Will this be strong enough – ish? I imagine the most stressed point would be just around the edges of the coupling, so If I used two joints/couplings in the bar, wouldn’t I half the strain on a single one? Also if I made the joints at 1m and 7m would that be better than to have a joint in the middle where the most flexing will be?Also bit more expensive, but with Aluminium the bar will be 20kg lighter – buy will it be as strong joint wise? Will a tubular coupling be as good as a external one?If anyone knows.. Thanks!
- The problem with your proposal is that you realise that the wind/rain could have an effect but chose to ignore the consequences if it occurs. 'Proper' scaffolding is designed and such an unsupported span would never occur in a 'normal' scaffold so the standard calculations would not work. There is also the possible effect on the walls, could they take an abnormal load? I would look at theatrical or music stage hire using trussed beams.
- Q: I have my tragus pierced and I have a cartilage piercing. I was wondering if the pain is comparable to these. Is it worse? Less? And do most places pierce with the clamps or do they just put it through?
- don't have my tragus but am planning on getting it...I have a scaffold piercing and a cartalage...of corse everyones pain threshold is different....but with my experience the scaffold piercing was the worst of of all my piercings....I'm not gunna lie it hurts...its not even when they do it...like it hurts but not awful :/...the second hole hurts worse...I did my own cartalage so it didn't rlly even bother me...idr...just be prepared for the healing process....I got mine. Or 9 months ago and it still hurts :/ if I get hit in it it effin hurts! But its an awsome piercing and I would never take it out and I love it so if you wanna get it deff go for it just be prepared to take care of it :) and it actually depends on the place if they use clamps or not mine did (they didn't hurt) :)
- Q: i am considering getting my industrial /scaffold piercing done tomorrow just wondering price in (GBP) (?) i am in the uk ....pain rating ?healing time personal expirience and what to expect how old do you ave to be without parental consent ?
- Stretching will not harm if you are giving it ample time... so this particularly is not a well evaluation! A unmarried cartilage piercing does not harm a lot more than your usual earlobe (lobe being two, cartilage piercing being three on a scale of one million to ten). But I've under no circumstances had a scaffold or orbital of any style, so I should not have a lot first hand revel in. Honestly although I would not fear approximately it. It can be over in 30 seconds, one million minute tops. And you get to return away with a gorgeous new piercing! Yay!
- Q: Hey guys, so I got my scaffolding (ear) done yesterday. My piercer told me NOT to clean it, and that the best thing for a cartilage piercing is to quot;leave it bequot; I trust this advice, but I wanted to ask your opinion or methods that worked for you :) Thanks lt;3
- To be perfectly honest, I don't clean my piercings while they are healing. I follow the LITHA (leave it the hell alone) method and have never, ever dealt with infection in any of my piercings. But I have also had a pretty good amount of piercings and know my body heals them just fine to not have to mess with them. If this is one of your first piercings and you've not healed a cartilage piercing before, I'd stick to doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water.
- Q: Everybody calls it either one, i want the one that goes across the top of your ear. Would it be safer to have two helix done instead of putting the bar straight in and getting the actual piercing or should i get two helix and put a bar in once it has healed? i would ask the piercer to line the two up. ive heard that industrails go wrong alot if a bar is put right in.
- When you do the two piercings separate and then put the bar in for healing, you have a chance of slight migration and when that happens, it's possible for the bar not to fit properly since industrials have to be at a perfect angle. I had a bar put in straight away and had no problem and I go to a really amazing piercer. Both ways have their cons, with a bar running through two piercings if one gets infected, the other is likely too as well. But if you take care of the piercing properly, that shouldn't be a problem.
- Q: To take panoramic photos? I am willing to sign a form of indemnity if they wish as it will be at my own risk.
- You can rent one of your own. Getting all the contractors, owners and subcontractors to let you sign a waver will not get you far ... in the end if you fall off, your survivors will still sue.
- Q: What is the horizontal spacing of the wall of the bowl buckle scaffold
- Need to give you a standardized system to learn about ah? The arrangement of the wall parts shall meet the following requirements: (1) should be close to the main node, the distance from the main node should not be greater than 300mm;
- Q: how much compensation can i get for falling of scaffolding and breaking my arm?
- Did you notify your supervisor that you didn't feel safe on the scaffold, and were told to use it anyway? If yes, quite a bit of compensation and hopefully enough punitive damages to put them out of business. If not, sorry guy, Workman's comp. only. Next time be more safe.
- Q: Hi im thinking of buying some Industrial Jewelry online but im not sure about the measurements. My recipt for my piercing says a 14g 1/4 barbell was used.
- From what I see on the site, pick the 14GA 11/4 option since it's long enough to go through the top of your ear. Seems there was a little typo on the receipt your piercer gave you. The mm measurements next to each of the sizing options refer to the diameter of the balls on either side. Hope that helped!
