1.Specification

Aluminium foil (or aluminum foil) is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness less than 0.2 millimetres (8 mils); thinner gauges down to 6 micrometres (0.24 mils) are also commonly used.In the United States, foils are commonly gauged in thousandths of an inch or mils. Standard household foil is typically 0.016 mm (0.63 mils) thick, and heavy duty household foil is typically 0.024 mm (0.94 mils). The foil is pliable, and can be readily bent or wrapped around objects. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimes laminated to other materials such as plastics or paper to make them more useful. Aluminium foil supplanted tin foil in the mid 20th century.

5.FAQ:

1)what is aluminum?

Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.

Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

Q: I have looked up on this topic several times on google and many health websites claim that there is no quot;significantquot; evidence about itHowever, antiperspirants have just been linked to causing breat cancer because of the aluminum in them and that many women who had breat cancer used to use an antiperspirantWhat do you think ?
kevlar would be sweet.
Q: Is there anything you can leave in your hair after you shower to put at the end of your hair.I Dont iron my hair nor do I blowdry and I have NO split ends but my ends dry up pretty fast on wet hair and I dont want to trim them.just not make them as dryI used to put hand mousturizer at the end of my hair so it doesnt make it dry but I wanna know if there is anything betterI do use quality shampoo and conditioner.Any help is great!
Yes there are lots of them and they fixed my dry hair ; to start with, apply nourrishing masks twice a week ! Try this one : one mashed banana, one spoon of honey, one spoon of olive oil, one spoon of avocado oil, one spoon of castor oil, one egg yolk and, if you're courageous enogh to take the smell of it, some garlicApply that on your hair, wrap it in aluminium foil, put a beanie on and let it rest a few hours, a whole night being the best ! After you washed it, add one spoon of vinegar and spoon of lemon juice to one liter and a half of water, and rinse your hair with that, to avoid dead calcium and chlorine lingering on your hairAlso, if you don't have that, buy a silk ( genuine silk ) pillowcase to sleep on : other fabrics are very rough on your hair and rub it hard during the night, it's very damaging to itAs well as straightening, blowdrying or any other heat source ! You really want to stay away from that ! Trim your hair every two or three months, also shea butter is great for your hair ! Any time you want to wash your hair, make sure you apply shea butter or almond oil on it for about half an hour before you wash itAnd put a tiny wee bit of jojoba oil on your ends ( it's a very fine oil, it won't show or make your hair greasy ) and trim it every three monthsTrim it every three months, after a few months of that regimen, you'll notice a huge difference and won't even need to trim that often ( I sometimes don't cut my hair at all for eight months straight, and at this point I don't have a single split end, yet my hair used to be full of them and so dry and ugly ) ! Taking care of your hair from the inside is very important too : eat hair food, such as meat, eggs, vegetables, lentils, bran cereals etcHope that helps !
Q: Someone explain please! And make try to make it so simple that a fith grader could understand please! Thank you so much!
No more than ADM and other corporate farmers are milking profits from producing ethanol and selling it to oil companiesI have no problem with people trying to make a positive change and making a profit from the processThat's fairMy beef is with companies that aren't doing the right thing to begin with.
Q: I believe I understand conversion somewhat, but I feel like a couple parts of the concept are sketchyRead my book, my teacher's notes, another teacher's lecture, and the quot;Idiot's Guide to.quot; but haven't found enough examples to pick it up.If someone could walk through this problem for me, I'd be forever grateful! It covers all basic steps I thinkDo I need to convert the percentages? If I can get all the information to the density equation, I'm home free.A ruby contains 52.7% aluminum and 47.1% oxygen with traces of chromiumIf the ruby was found to contain 0.125g of aluminum, what is the mass of the ruby? Also, if you know a good website, I'd appreciate! I can't find any that give examples.
Remember, that percent means parts per hundred, so you would have 52.7g of Al; 47.1g of Oxygen; and .2g of ChromiumThis would make your ruby 100gTo do your conversion start with what you have, which is .125g of Aland you know that for every 100g ruby you have 52.7g of Aluminum Heres how I would set up the problem: .125g Al x 100g Ruby/52.7g Al (The Al would cancel out leaving you with the mass of the ruby in grams.) I got that the ruby should weigh .237g If you used your answer of .237g to find out how many grams of Oxygen were in a ruby of that mass, it would look like this (remember we know how much oxygen is a ruby of 100g, so we can use that as a conversion factor): .237g Ruby x 47.1 g Oxygen/100g Ruby .112g Oxygen If you add this with the amount of Al, you get the mass of the ruby- .125g Al + .112 g O .237 As far as the unit conversions go, just remember that The units you want to finish with need to be on top Hope that helps!
Q: wood, paper clip, air, paper, plastic, steel nail, water, aluminum can
Ahhhh young JediHere is the basics you need to know about conductorsanything that is of a metal product is a conductor Water is also a conductor Wood products are insulators Plastic products are insulators so to answer your question wood-insulator paper clip-conductor air-insulator paper-insulator plastic-insulator steel nail-conductor water-conductor aluminum can-conductor So plastic bags, Styrofoam, 2x4's , wood decking, fiberglass, Teflon, ceramic.all insulators water based products, beer, wine, metals, .are conductors
