Aluminium foil (or aluminum foil) is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness less than 0.2 millimetres (8 mils); thinner gauges down to 6 micrometres (0.24 mils) are also commonly used.In the United States, foils are commonly gauged in thousandths of an inch or mils. Standard household foil is typically 0.016 mm (0.63 mils) thick, and heavy duty household foil is typically 0.024 mm (0.94 mils). Thefoil is pliable, and can be readily bent or wrapped around objects. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimeslaminated to other materials such as plastics or paper to make them more useful. Aluminium foil supplantedtin foil in the mid 20th century.

In North America, aluminium foil is known as aluminum foil. It was popularized by Reynolds Metals, the leading manufacturer in North America. In the United Kingdom and United States it is, informally, widely called tin foil, for historical reasons (similar to how aluminum cans are often still called "tin cans").Metallised films are sometimes mistaken for aluminium foil, but are actually polymer films coated with a thin layer of aluminium. In Australia, aluminium foil is widely called alfoil.

Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.

Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

Q:Chevy Trucks!!! Does anyone know what the quot;LSquot;, quot;LTquot;, and quot;LTZquot; letters on Chevy trucks stand for???I recently bought a Chevy AvalancheBut does anyone know what the quot;LSquot;, quot;LTquot;, and quot;LTZquot; letters stand for in the truck??? I know its the type of package that the truck comes withBut what do the letters actually stand for? And where can you find out what type of LT truck you have???I know there is 3 different types LT models (1LT, 2 LT, 3LT and of course the LTZ)But where can you tell what you have?? Its not in the owners manual.
There are three basic types of Laxing agents, 1) Bulking agents (eg, psyllium, Ca polycarbophil, methylcellulose) 2) Osmotic agents, (egMagnesium, Phosphates, sulphates) 3) Emollient agents (eg, docusate, mineral oil, glycerine suppositories) Docusate is a surfactant, (trade name Colace , and surfax,) which allows water to enter the fecal mass to soften and increase its bulkIncreased bulk may stimulate peristalsis, which moves the softened stool more easilyMineral oil softens fecal matter but may decrease absorption of fat-soluble vitaminsEmollients may be useful after MI or anorectal surgery and when prolonged bed rest is requiredBulking agents act in a slow and gentle manner and are the safest optionAs a long term course they are the only safe means of removalYou could try having 15- 20 grams of unrefined Millers bran with fruit or added to a bowl of cerealProper use involves gradually increasing the dose—ideally, taken with sufficient liquid (eg, 500 mL/day of extra fluid) to prevent impaction until a softer, bulkier stool resultsBulking agents produce natural effects and, unlike other laxatives, do not lead to colonic inertiaOsmotic agents contain poorly absorbed polyvalent ions, eg, Magnesium, phosphates, and sulphates) These act by increasing intraluminal osmotic pressure thereby drawing water into the intestineThe increased volume stimulates peristalsis (Bowel movement) The best solution for constipation would be to wait it out and let the body do what it has to do, unless it causes unbearable pain or other complicationsTreatment of constipation should be accompanied by behavioural changesI.e try inducing the stool at the same time each day , usually half an hour after breakfastTry relaxation techniques, doing some form of exercise
Q:fire easily
when the paper is on its own, it has no means to dissipate heat so it easily catches fire, but when it is in contact with a metal, there occurs heat exchange between the metal and the paper(the exchange of heat will be good with aluminium since it is a good conductor of heat)thus it would require a lot more heat for the paper to ignitehope my answer helps:)
Q:not sure if i should purchase this new home; sewer in backyard, and totally finished in aluminum.hope someone can help
What an odd combination of finishing – building materialsIs the “brick” the normal 3 x 6 (approximately) red building brick? Or is what you are calling brick actually concrete blocks? I could understand the previous owner wanting to do something to cover-up concrete blocks, they’re structurally good for building but pretty much butt ugly unless the house design can support the concrete block lookCan’t imagine why anyone would want to cover up the “normal” red brick facing on a house, they are generally done very well and add immeasurable charm to the structure The only reason maybe the house was sheathed in siding is the brick underneath is in such bad shape they chose “cheap fix” and just covered over the mess? In case this is the issue, I would get a good trustworthy knowledgeable person to look underneath the “skin”, determine if there are real structural problems with the brick! Then make an offer on the house The only “benefit” to siding would be if insulation was added between the brick and the sidingThe added insulation factor is dependent on how thick the insulation is, and how sealed the insulation actually isInsulation with a bunch of air holes, or done poorly is no added benefit, and will only give vermin a place to live If the siding is simply “cosmetic” I would seriously consider taking off the siding, brick is much more classy and adds allot to the look and value of a homeThe other thing I would do is wander around the block-find people who have lived there for several years and ask them what the house looked like before the siding and why the siding was put on in the first place !! CHECK WITH THE NEIGHBORS!! hope this helps
Q:Please dissect what this tank means Ninja 48ci 3000 psi Aluminum air tankExplain what ci means and what a good ci level would beExplain psi and what a good psi level would beAnd explain Aluminum tank, I have noticed there are other tanks called carbon fiber tanks, which ones are better? Also would this be a good tank for my paintball gun, I have an invert mini?
I shoot with a 48ci / 3000 Pure Energy Steel tankIt's good for about 700 rounds before I need to recharge itCarbon fiber tanks are actually Aluminum tanks wrapped in carbon fiber to strengthen the tank walls and reduce weightThe invert mini is a light marker, you're probably going to want to go with the carbon fiber tank, though the cost is about triple what you would pay for the steel tankThe carbon fiber tank will usually be larger capacity and have a higher pressure rating as wellMost fields only have a 3000psi compressorI've been playing for twenty years.

Q:I have a hookah with me, how to smoke it the proper way?
Fill the bottom jar with ice cold water about halfway, connect the hoses, fill the bowl with shisha, put aluminum foil over the bowl, poke some holes in the top of the foil with a toothpick, use the tongs and burn a coal till its burning hot and red, put the coal on top of the foil, then you can keep puffing it until the smoke becomes thickSo now at this point you can puff on it as hard or as slow as you want

Q:what is oxides means?
An oxide is a chemical compound contaning at least one oxygen atom as well as at least one other elementMost of the Earth's crust consists of oxidesOxides result when elements are oxidized by oxygen in airCombustion of hydrocarbons affords the two principal oxides of carbon, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxideEven materials that are considered to be pure elements often contain a coating of oxidesFor example, aluminium foil has a thin skin of Al2O3 that protects the foil from further corrosion.
Q:it would save me quite a lot of labor if I could just buy a greenhouse kit, but I seriously question if twin wall polycarbonate in an aluminum frame would be adequate if i would like to grow plants year roundI had planned on triple wall and a treated wood frame that I build myselfopinions? tx!
Have you tried googling it, or going to their website and searching or maybe emailing the company?
