FAQ
1. How do I decide which system is right for me ?
For protection from long outages, include a generator or solar panels in your Must solar system. Shorter outages can be handled by a battery-only system.
2. Where my system will be installed ?
Must solar systems are usually wall-mounted near a home's main electrical (circuit breaker) panel.
3. How do I install my system ?
A must solar backup inverter is connected to a home electric system , we will supply detailed installation manual and videos for our customers .
How fast will my system respond to a power outage ?
Must solar inverters typically transfer to battery power in less than 16 milliseconds (less than 1/50th of a second).
What kind of batteries do the systems include ?
Must solar backup electric systems use special high-quality electric storage batteries.
- Q: I'm writing a post-apocalyptic story in it the main character finds a warehouse. Eventually he finds out the roof is covered with commercial solar panels. Given it's been over a year since the majority of the world died no manainence was done, do they still work?
- In my experience working with solar panels, I've found that the panels themselves are robust and can last years. How that energy is transferred from the panel to perform work (sorry for the boffinism) is where the complexity emerges, namely due to the fact solar panels produce DC current, and nearly all of our electrical appliances use AC current. In most cases, solar panels will either send energy through a DC/AC inverter directly to be used for appliances, or stored in deep cycle batteries, then converted to AC using an inverter when the user wants to use his/her appliance. Now to answer your question: the solar panels will be fine, and could conceivably be in fine working order with AC current available IF... and I cannot stress this enough (namely through years of field experience dealing with solar powered scientific instrumentation that was working well and then mysteriously not working)... IF rats and other rodents haven't eaten through the wires. This is probably the most likely reason that a set of solar panels wouldn't be working in your given scenario. Hope this helps, and good luck!!
- Q: I want to install a solar panel system and our power grid can't work in reverse(so it get its electricity from us). My question is how do you prevent electricity from our panel to go to the grid without disconnecting the grid? How can we also use the grid and the panel at the same time when the panel are not creating enough power?PS dont say ask an electrician
- If you are grid-tied, then a standard solar electric system will always feed back into the grid if you are not utilizing more power in your home than is being generated by the solar panels and inverter system. It is possible that a grid isolation device designed to prevent direct back feeding is available, but haven't heard of one in common use. New laws in most areas of the US are now mandating that utilities allow grid-tied alternative energy systems. Double-check you local laws. Sometimes you can't take the utilities word for truth--most will automatically say 'no' and will only relent when you show up with the law in hand. Unfortunately, some utilities have figured out another way to shut down alternative energy pioneers--they demand multimillion dollar insurance policies covering damage that their equipment could sustain from your little PV system. Technically, they are still in compliance with the law, they just make it impossible for a homeowner to meet their requirements. If you are getting the runaround, go to your state representative for help. It's amazing how contrite those utility people can be when a state senator (or even US Senator) has just sent a letter asking them why they are stonewalling a law-abiding and well-meaning citizen. Good luck, and don't give up!
- Q: I need help?!!
- It needs some battery banks in order to store the energy that will be useful during nighttime if less energy is stored in the batteries due to poor weather condition the effectivity of it is minimized. It has some limitations like you need more batteries in parralell to store more energy from solar cells, and it needs to be fully recharge the next day after it is discharged at night.
- Q: what parts and tool do i need to build and connect a solar electric panel to my home
- Make okorder
- Q: i really love the idea of solar and want to start out small, so i'm new to this.I plan on getting an 85w panel to charge my laptop. what other equipment is needed to accomplish this?would i need to get a battery or does the solar panel hook directly to the laptop. Does one end just lead to a conventional outlet similar to a wall outlet?could someone please give me a detailed explanation with options about this? i would greatly appreciate it.
- humm..... .need HUGE solar panel (alot) 2. wires 3. aligato clips . put the panels on the roof 2. use the aligator clip to clip the wire from the panel to the bars of the pluger of the comp. charger 3.tada mark me best:)
- Q: How do solar panels affect the environment?
- Solar panels have a positive impact on the environment as they produce clean and renewable energy, reducing the need for fossil fuels. They help decrease greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and water usage associated with traditional energy sources. However, the production and disposal of solar panels can have some environmental impact, including the use of certain materials and energy during manufacturing. Overall, their benefits outweigh the potential drawbacks.
- Q: but is that per day, per hour or minute? How much watts does the average AC unit use?How much does an energy efficient lightbulb use?All in all let's hypothetically say we no longer use the electric company for our energy source, How many of these panels do you estimate it would take to supply our small home?
- To calculate an estimate of your power usage, follow the first link below. Although you can have whatever sized system you want (at a cost) those on solar power generally keep their power usage down by cooking on gas, not using an electric kettle, using low energy light bulbs. Powering AC would up your power requirements considerably. We run a medium sized house on 860 watts of panels in southern Spain (plenty of sunshine). That includes the washing machine, pool, and running two laptops and wireless network all day,and a ceiling fan on summer nights. Hower we cook on gas, would not consider AC, and the fridge runs on gas (though if the fridge had to be replaced I would buy electric and add an extra pv panel). For an overview of the equipment required and what it does, check the second link below.
- Q: Can solar panels be used in areas with high levels of shade or obstruction?
- Solar panels can still be used in areas with high levels of shade or obstruction, but their efficiency and power generation may be significantly reduced. Shadows or obstructions can cause partial or complete shading on the panels, which can lead to a decrease in energy production. However, advancements in technology, such as the use of microinverters or power optimizers, can help mitigate the impact of shading by allowing each panel to work independently and optimize energy production. Additionally, proper placement and angle adjustments of the panels can also help maximize sunlight absorption, even in shaded areas.
- Q: hey, i am wanting to help our earth a little bit, and I was wondering how to do a solar panel connection for powering my home.... i just want to reduce my energy bill a little bit, Would these solar panels work?and how would i connect them?
- Hello, Yes you definitely can use this kind of panels. Powering your home entirely will be an issue if you are not familiar with solar energy and electricity in general. If it's the case I'm afraid you'll need a specialist. The basic principle of a solar power system: - Solar panel to charge the batteries - DC to AC converter that will convert the DC voltage from your battery to AC voltage so that you can connect regular home appliances like lights or TV.
- Q: How do solar panels and heaters work?
- Solar panels are solar powered- they use energy produced from the sun. While heaters- receive already produced energy to produce heat... hope this helps!
