Q:How do plastic tubes perform in low-pressure applications?
Plastic tubes generally perform well in low-pressure applications. They are lightweight, flexible, and have good resistance to corrosion and chemicals. However, their performance can vary depending on the specific type of plastic used and the application requirements. It is important to consider factors such as temperature, pressure, and compatibility with the fluid being transported when selecting plastic tubes for low-pressure applications.
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for hydroponic gardening?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for hydroponic gardening. Plastic tubes are commonly used as a system for hydroponic gardening called nutrient film technique (NFT) or as a component of vertical hydroponic systems. These tubes provide a channel for nutrient-rich water to flow through, allowing plants to absorb the necessary nutrients for growth. Additionally, plastic tubes are lightweight, durable, and can be easily customized to fit different hydroponic setups.
Q:I remember we use to have tubes that bent up well but were very soft a tin like material that eventually they found because it had lead in them it leached into the toothpaste such that now we have plastic toothpaste tubes predominatly made in the US.
That sounds about right. I do remember those tubes that rolled up easily and were made of a bendable metal. In those days, I was pretty bad about brushing my teeth so it's probable that I wasn't affected that much by whatever lead content there was. I did get a lot of cavities, though.
Q:what cage should i get for my teddy bear hamster? plastic with tubes or wire with platics bottom?
get a wiered one. reason: the hampster will be able to chew out of the plastic one.
Q:Just curious, when there is only a bit of toothpaste left, I have to squeeze little by little from bottom up. But then after using it, I'll have to do the same thing next time around. Obviously the toothpaste has to settle down the tube. Why and how does it do that?
The plastic material has internal stresses that retain the shape it was cast in originally. Since it is attached to a round head it tends to form a sort of flattened cone. The toothpaste moves back up the tube to fill the available space as it is a type of really thick fluid. The shape may also lead to the toothpaste moving upwards due to capillary action (similar to how water moves up a very thin straw) To combat this effect, you can buy a little squeezy thing that rolls over the tube to prevent the toothpaste from moving backwards, or you can fold/bend it over as you use it like many people do. I store mine upright on the cap so the toothpaste settles at the end I squeeze it out of. The tube also uses less counter space when you store it upright as compared to laid over on its side.
Q:My child is 4 years old. She had a small plastic tube inserted to open up her tear ducts. The tube fell out that same night as the procedure. What can I do? Will she need another surgery?
get her to the hospital..or take her to another pediatrician.. more than one.. get as much info as you can.. research.. get her to a doctor though would likely be alot more useful than asking on here.. hope she is ok..
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for storing perishable goods?
No, plastic tubes are not suitable for storing perishable goods as they do not provide an airtight or insulated environment needed to maintain the freshness and prevent spoilage of perishable items.
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for waste management systems?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for waste management systems. Plastic tubes are commonly used for various applications in waste management, such as conveying waste materials, drainage systems, and ventilation. They offer durability, flexibility, and resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for different waste management needs. Moreover, plastic tubes can be easily installed, maintained, and are cost-effective, making them a popular choice in waste management systems.
Q:i would like make my own fishing floats, but cant find things i need. the reed, plastic tube, screw in eyes?
plastic tube can be found at WalMart in the pet department with the aquariums. the air hoses are clear and in several sizes. also think about the old hose in the yard, is it.....? screw eyes in the hardware department, or sporting goods if you mean the ones that go on the rod. Reed.....those cheap flutes you get for a buck are either river reed or bamboo and bamboo floats too. OR are you talking about the fishing float where you are floating in an inner tube with a seat hanging to keep you afloat? Thay also have them in the pool supply department. Be creative you'll never find anything if you keep saying can't!
Q:This will be more efficient since right now the bed covers the vent, just wanted to somehow route the cool air away from under the bed so my roommate won't have to turn the air really cold to cool down at night. Thanks in advance.
