Q:Are plastic tubes suitable for storing chemicals?
Plastic tubes can be suitable for storing certain chemicals, but it depends on the type of chemical being stored. Some chemicals may react with certain types of plastic, leading to degradation or leakage. It is important to consider the compatibility of the chemical with the specific type of plastic used in the tube. In general, it is recommended to use glass or specialized chemical-resistant plastics for storing hazardous or corrosive chemicals.
Q:What's the fire suppression ring for the drain pipe? What are the requirements?
According to China's Ministry of housing GB 50242-2002 "building water and heating engineering construction quality acceptance" in indoor drainage system installation section 5.2.4: ring of fire or fire resistance should be set according to the design requirements of casing plastic drainage pipe design of high-rise buildings.
Q:I have a number of plastic tubes of differing sizes that I need to sand the full length of the inside of. The smallest one is less than a centimeter in diameter. I have some long paintbrush handles that fit very well inside, so I've tried to wrap sandpaper around them and insert them into the tubes, but I don't know of a way to sufficiently attach the sandpaper to the brush handles (and getting rolled up sandpaper stuck inside a thin plastic tube is VERY difficult to remove, let me tell you...). Can anyone offer me any help on this?
take a wood dowel make a cut in one end for a flap of sand paper to fit in, attach loose end to a drill , turn it on run plastic tubes back and forth on sand flap [make a sanding rod]
Q:How are toothpaste tubes made? I know that there's polyethylene coatings on aluminum, but how to they actually made the tubes this way? I know it can't be injection molding or blow molding.
why can't it be injected extrusion molding of the tubing followed by a bonding process?
Q:Are plastic tubes impact-resistant?
Yes, plastic tubes can be impact-resistant depending on the type of plastic used and their design.
Q:Will the results be any different? If so, why?
Absolutely they'll be different. The normal plastic bad is not permeable to much of anything. I'm not sure of your experiment, but if you are using starch and Iodine, with dialysis tubing, the iodine can pass in and out, but starch cannot because the pores in the dialysis tubing are too small. With a platic bag, there are no pores, per se, and so neither the iodine nor the starch can move in and/or out.
Q:What are the different end closures available for plastic tubes?
There are several different end closures available for plastic tubes, including screw caps, flip-top caps, snap-on caps, push-pull caps, and dispensing caps. These closures provide various functionalities such as sealing, easy access, controlled dispensing, and reusability, depending on the specific requirements of the product or application.
Q:How do plastic tubes compare to stainless steel tubes in terms of corrosion resistance?
Plastic tubes generally offer better corrosion resistance compared to stainless steel tubes. While stainless steel is known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, it can still be affected by certain chemicals and environments. On the other hand, plastic tubes, particularly those made from materials like PVC or PTFE, are highly resistant to corrosion, making them a preferred choice in applications where corrosive substances or environments are present.
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for storing petrochemicals?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for storing petrochemicals. Plastic tubes made from materials such as polyethylene or polypropylene are commonly used for storing and transporting various petrochemicals due to their resistance to corrosion and chemical degradation. These tubes provide a cost-effective and reliable solution for safely containing and preserving petrochemical substances.
Q:I was trying to remove a little transmission fluid from my dodge intrepid with 3 plastic straws stuck together, and one of them got disconnected and stuck in the filler tube. I tried removing it but just ended up getting it stuck furthur. Should i take my car to a mechanic and have the tranny pan dropped to remove the straw? Will it do any damage driving it to the shop?
the filter will prevent the straw from causing damage
