- Q:Regarding the cigars. The following is for the humidity conditions. It is now 4:50 pm here, I am going to a party tomorrow at 4:00 pm. So 24 hours time. I live in South Africa and its winter here. I bought Romeo y Julieta cigars (Romeo No3 and 2) and a Blackstone Cherry (not a cigarillo). I don't have a humidor. Will these cigars be fine in these conditions for 24 hours in their tubes? The Blackstone is in a plastic tube with no wood. Just plastic. Must I leave the cigars in their tubes in a Ziplock bag? And I have no waterpouches humidification pouches. I read on Cigars for less that tubes can preserve them for a long time. Oh, and I have air-conditioning in my room. But will the cupboard in my room work? I usually set the aircon between 18-21* Celsius. I can put the cigars somewhere else if it is better.

- it depends if the paper wrapper is a special mint one or just a bank one. if a special wrapper it is best to keep it in it. The mint is selling the rolls with a special wrapper. However paper is not good for coins for most wrappers are cheaply made and have acids in the paper. A hard plastic coin tube is the best for it is archival to an extent, for air still can get in there. A pair of white cotton coin gloves stops the finger prints on the coins problem. A soft clean handkerchief that has no fabric softener on it works well also, but one needs to be more careful. hope this helps.

- Depends. You can get little pieces at $5 to $10, and elaborate setups up to $50. Gotta tell you though, I've had hamsters and rats with the plastic tube setups and they're a whole lot of fun--until it's time to clean them. As you may know, rodents can't control their sphincters so they poo and wee all over the place, and that includes the little tubes. If you have a whole bunch of them, it's a real pain in the tuckus to clean, especially since your pet will bring pieces of cedar shavings with it into the tubes to create little nests, and that's going to bind with the urine and feces and it'll get stuck in there and the whole thing is going to stink to high heaven until you just soak it all in bleach and then there's pieces of urine-soaked cedar shavings stuck to your sink and GAH!!! I will never do it again. I'd rather get a metal cage with multiple levels, or a whole bunch of toilet paper rolls to play in, cause they'll just chew on those until they're gone and you won't need to clean them.
