- If you go to that site, and check the classified ads, there are people with excellent wood for sale that is safe for your chin. - Most of these folks a correct its a vent tube. The stock battery has a hole on the side to vent gasses out . Most aftermarket batteries do not have a vent or its in the wrong place. Look for a Deka battery they fit perfect and have the vent. (also Car Quest sells the same battery different label) By venting the gas out it helps reduce the corrosion. The OE battery is VARDA, but the DEKA or CARQUEST brand is a better made battery.
