- Q: For example , 3300mfd capacitor used in a bank 3 nos . the value of capacitor is 9900 mfd ,instead of 9900 mfd ,10000 mfd 1 no used. Is any advantage over using bank .
- Capacitor banks are used to compensate inductive loads such as motors. So capacitors are included when power factor reduces (high inductive load)and are switched off as power factor increases. The capacitors should not overcompensate. Briefly banks are used for variable capacitances.
- Q: a. the economy finally flourished and expanded. b. was repaired and the state banking system created a new level of prosperity. c. quickly collapsed into depression. d. went through all of the above.

- Q: At least 20 years ago, my aunt (who is now dead) opened a bank account in my name in Chicago. She was very parinoid and had althimers, therefore, I don't know if she took the money out after I left or not. Also she has a lady who looks over her-and she's basically gotten power of attorney over her. So bottom line, My question is-how do I go about finding out if the account is still there or not. (please no smart-*** asnwers-or i WILL report you)
- Well if you were a minor when the account was open, there are very different laws regarding those than regular accounts. First of all, a minor is never a full signer on an account, so the money was solely hers, just in your benefit. What the girl in the answer above me said is not correct. The statements will not come in your name when you turn 16. Your information as far as your credit or social security number was never run when the account was open so there is no way of tracing it back to you. The only option you would have left is contacting the person that has the power of attorney. She could then call the bank and ask them to search under your aunts social security number and see if there are any accounts open. I know this is a difficult situation. I'm sorry for the long answer, but I hope this helps!
- Q: If someone is awarded Power of Attorney for an elderly person, what exactly does that mean? Will they inherit everything, can they have the person change beneficiaries on insurance policies, etc.? Thanks.
- General Power of Attorney A general power of attorney is very broad and provides extensive powers to the person or organization you appoint as your agent. These powers usually include: ?Handling banking transactions ?Entering safety deposit boxes ?Handling transactions involving U.S. securities ?Buying and selling property ?Purchasing life insurance ?Settling claims ?Entering into contracts ?Exercising stock rights ?Buying, managing or selling real estate ?Filing tax returns ?Handling matters related to government benefits You also have the option to grant the following additional powers to your Agent: ?Maintaining and operating business interests ?Employing professional assistance ?Making gifts ?Making transfers to revocable (living) trusts ?Disclaiming interests (this has to do with estate planning strategies to avoid estate taxes) A general power of attorney is usually used to allow your agent to handle all of your affairs during a period of time when you are unable to do so. For example, when you are traveling out of the state or country or when you are physically or mentally unable to handle your affairs. A general power of attorney is frequently included as part of an estate plan to make sure that you have covered the possibility that you might need someone to handle your financial affairs if you are unable to do so.
- Q: I need to certify an application for replacement of my damaged Canada passport? Can anyone please confirm if a bank manager can complete the role of a notary public to certify the replacement application? Thank you for your time.
- Some do, some don't. Just call your bank and ask if there's a notary there that will seal your application. They will usually charge around $5.
- Q: I am researching how banking was performed in the 1860s in the Territory of Colorado. I know its a bit unsual, but my son asked me some questions that I could not find answers too about the banking practices. Thank you.
- Before the Federal Reserve was put in charge of regulating the monetary system there was no national regulatory control of banks. States had some laws, but legislatures can be swayed and manipulated by those with money. In those days, the financial power of a bank was based on the actual money it had on deposit, and usually backed by the gold in it's physical possession. There was no deposit insurance, and if the banker turned out to be a crook, or the bank experienced a run, where the depositors lost confidence in the institution and withdrew their money, the other depositors were just out of luck. Try the Federal Reserve website, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for your data. They used to publish comic books to educate schoolchildren about subjects such as this.
- Q: Cite a specific example of an implied power and describe how it was derived from a specific expressed power found in article 1 section 8.
- National Bank. McCulloch v. Maryland (1819). The express requirement/power/responsibility of the federal government to print currency, tax, and spend, necessarily implies a power to charter and establish a national bank as a place to store that money, to operate a bank with deposits and to issue promissory notes, and to pay the debts of the U.S. An express provision regarding taxing and spending necessarily implies any and all unenumerated powers deemed necessary by Congress to perform that function.
- Q: 1. Explain the moral hazard problem that arises with deposit insurance.2. How does the lender of last resort function create moral hazard?23. Regulations have traditionally required banks to maintain capital-asset ratios of acertain level to ensure adequate net worth based on the size and composition of thebank's assets on its balance sheet. Why might such capital adequacy requirementsnot be eective?
- moral has nothing to do with finance 2) same answer 3) what is eective? learn economics money makes money and those who control banks have great power learn about the unregulated banks of the early 1900s. the depression of 1906 and J. - Q: I'm 18 years old and My father is in ICU at the hospital that i work at but he is incpacitated and is unable to make any decisions, and he and my mother are going throug a divorce and my family wants me to be his Power of Attourny but i dont know exactly what that is, how i become it or anything like that, I know this is what he wants also, he told me he wanted my mom out of everything and she said she would help me but she doesnt want to be his PoA and i am his only living relative over legal age. any advice would be GREAT!
- I wasn't going to answer until you came back with your inane added information. First, you are wrong. An incapacitated party cannot give POA and a third-party may not legally give POA for an incapacitated party. So, if your father is incapacitated, it's a done deal. Now, what you MAY be thinking of is guardianship which allows you to make financial and healthcare decisions for your father. In this instance, you will need to file for guardianship through the courts and this is not somethig you can or should do on your own.
- Q: Hello everyone! I am trying to power a device off of a rechargeable battery. I am going to be making a xbox360 laptop but I would like it to be completely cordless. Like I was thinking of taking lithium Ion cells out of laptop batteries and soldering them together to make a bigger power bank to power the xbox360. But the one thing I am wondering is if that would be a good idea? I would like to know every ones input or if anyone has made like lithium ion battery banks or has modified some laptop batteries or something of similar sort and what there out come has been like. I am a very technical and handy person and not afraid to zap myself in the process :) so please leave a comment with your feed back :) any at all is fine, aslong as it relates to the topic :)! Thank you guys for all your help!!
- To make power banks out of laptop batteries is somewhat difficult. The problem would be about recharging mostly, and a little about voltage matching. I doubt if anybody has ever managed to do that successfully. Other more feasible approach I would think, is to use lithium ion or polymer batteries commonly used in Radio-Controlled toys and its general battery charger. That way you can fit the voltage, number of cells, and be able to use balancer and general smart battery charger for your purpose.
