4. How to choose bathroom tiles? Porcelain tiles or glazed tiles?
Currently used in the bathroom tiles with glazed tiles (mainly from price considerations, some high-end can choose
tiles, notice to choose tiles), divided into Shinny and Matt two kinds. Light color makes people feel shinny, but the
bathroom more appropriate to create a warm feeling, so the best choose is uses matte, the shinny feels more soft and
not dazzling.
- Q: 1. Why floor tiles can pop up?2. What we can do to avoid that?
- Hi ...we have a problem with 12x12 tile in the living room area that has popped across the room in a line from one wall to the other...the building is 16 years old and the tile has been down that long.....why all of a sudden the tile would pop ...there they are at there is no sun light or temp change since we are in Florida.....WHAT TO DO???
- Q: I moved into new construction 2 yrs ago. Someone did a crappy job at laying floor tiles down and now some of them have come loose. Does the whole floor need to come up and redone?
- I had this happen this year. they had to come and remove them and relay. IT was $2.00 per tile
- Q: What is half tiles
- Water absorption is less than 0.5% is called the whole tile is greater than the pottery is half porcelain. There is a very simple way to distinguish between the water is poured on the back of the brick very little water can be quickly sucked into the semi-porcelain is, and vice versa is all porcelain, and from the name and use can also The whole tiles are called antique tiles, polished tiles, tiles, matte bricks, etc., there are generally called with a certain stone, a certain jade, such as cloud shadow stone, amber jade, etc. are all tiles, The use of points on the majority of home clay floor of the earth tiles are all porcelain, and home bathroom, kitchen sticky porcelain walls are all semi-porcelain, so now the mainstream is the use of matte tiles, antique brick
- Q: What type of drill bit should I buy to cut into 4 x 4 ceramic tile on the wall? Can I place the bit into a router? The hole is 10 x 10 and I need it to be 10 1/2 x 10 1/2. There is 5/8 DW w/ metal studs behind it.
- I tile every day of my life, and hope you have extra tile pieces. As one answer states a diag. Grinder and a diamond blade. I go through a couple a week, but certainly you can't pull a wet saw to the wall. I'll assume not, but might you make the cuts on grout lines? Also, I'm wondering about even 5/8 drywall as a substrate for tile work? You might also use a Dremel with a proper bit for the very corners, but with care the Di. Grinder will suffice, You probably can expect cutting into the dry wall as well. Steven Wolf just my two sense I'm just purchasing a FEIN Multi tool, that I'll use exclusively for installed tile cutting, especially grout.
- Q: I understand most of the rules of pai gow tiles, but one part that I am not clear on is banking. If I am the banker, do I get to see the ways that the players set their tiles before I set mine? Or do I secretly set my tiles just like everyone else and then we all reveal simultaneously?
- Whether tiles or cards, in Pai Gow, the Banker sets his hand last. There is only 1 exception. When a player chooses to be the Banker, and s/he chooses play against other players AND to also have money from the casino dealer play against him too, then the order is: Other players, the Banker, then the casino dealer. Now if YOU happen to be that Banker, you do NOT want to try peaking at what other players are doing with their tiles! They will think you are cheating. No matter what, when it comes to revealing the tiles (or cards), the casino dealer will always reveal first. Next will be the player who is the Banker (if there is a player who chose to be Banker), then the casino dealer will flip over the player's tiles, one player at a time. In a casino, you aren't allowed to touch the tiles once the dealer starts revealing them. (In most casinos.)
- Q: Thinking of putting tile on front porch. It has a couple minor cracks. Is there anything that I can put down so that the Tiledoesn‘t crack in the future.
- First deal with the cracks. They are normal if they were caused over time by the concrete just settling. If you go to the hardware store you will want to find some crack repairing compounds. They are like concrete and mortar and should be in that section. They contain a rubber based martix which will bend and flex instead of breaking and fill cracks easily. Make sure you put down a even layer of mortar before you begin tiling and it should be okay to tile.
- Q: I poured bleach on the tiles in my bathroom and there was an emergency and had to leave home. When I got back the tiles were stained a yellowish color and it used to be smooth but now it‘s all rough like sandpaper. HELP!
- I don't know what type of tiles you have, but if it doesn't have a glazed finish, you may not be able to do much about it. Travertine is a popular natural limestone that is very popular these days and is frequently used in bathrooms. The only drawback is that it is a soft and porous material, so it is much easier to damage that a glazed tile or a natural polished marble. The good news is that it is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. Call a good tile man and get a quote to refinish and a quote to replace the damaged pieces.
- Q: We are thinking of putting nonporous wall tile on walls in our kitchen ... even above the stove. The tile there may get some splatter from cooking so I‘m wondering how difficult is it to clan a nonporous tile? I am assuming it is fairly easy, but would love to hear what the community thinks.
- Nonporous tile is very easy to clean. You can remove grease and grime with regular dishwashing liquid...just a drop on a clean sponge. Scrub with this and wipe with a clean wet rag. I think you'll like the tiles. Nonporous tiles are a piece of cake to keep clean. -
- Q: Now very popular tile 80X80 pink above the tea stains, how can effectively remove the tea stains?
- With toothpaste, my home cleaning tea stains are used toothpaste
- Q: Two tiles are randomly chosen one at a time and placed in the order in which they were chosen. Determine the probability that the tiles are:i.COii.Both vowels
- Probability of CO: 1/(7*6) = 1/42 Combos of Vowels: 3*2 = 6 Probability of 2 Vowels: 6/42 = 3/21 = 1/7
