FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:i have tiles in my bathroom witch are painted(not me was like that wen i moved in) was wondering if i cud wallpaper or tile over them
Its possible to wall paper over tiles but not recommended. If you don t get the tiles covered properly you ll see the grout joints through the paper. As far as tiling over tile, yes it can be done if certain steps are taken and certain pre cautions. Always best to take out the old, but to answer the question, yes it can be done. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:1. Why floor tiles can pop up?2. What we can do to avoid that?
You didn't mention what type of tiles (ceramic, vinyl, etc.) Vinyl pop up because the glue did not adhere properly, applies to both spread mastic and self adhesive. Surface prep is usually where the mistake is made. If the fault is that of the adhesive, the manufacturer often will make some amends. Ceramic usually pops up because the floor is uneven, or the tile was not seated correctly in the quick set. If some effort of was expended for surface prep, this is not the usual cause (this type of flooring has some degree of forgiveness related to surface prep). Future avoidance requires clean working conditions and following all instructions of the manufacturers of whose products you are using. (quick and easy cheat to repair=liquid nails, to glue tile down in place-hopefully before you applied grout!)
Q:What are the different types of tile and how much of them does it take to cover 1 square foot nad what‘s the cost of them
Types: ceramic porcelain slate marble travertine vinyl Sizes: 1x1 - 3'x3' but most commonly 12x12 therefore one tile per sq. ft. Cost: ceramic and porcelain $0.80 - $9 marble $3 - $15 travertine and slate $2 - $9 vinyl $0.50 - $4
Q:My kitchen floor tile has a number dings or chips caused by something heavy falling on them. Is there a way to repair these without having to remove/replace the entire tile?
Depends on how bad they are. Sounds like you have an very inexpensive tile on the floor or it would not have all the chips/dings. A cheap temporary fix would be to find a paint to match and just touch up. If you're renting, just try that. If you own, you could do that temporarily while you save up. When you replace though, make sure you get a good quality porcelain tile.
Q:Currently the stairs are carpeted. I have heard that if this is not done properly the tiles will crack. How do I ensure that the stairs are level and stable enough for the tiles? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Q:I am making a unglazed ceramic tile-mosaic table and I know I have to seal the tiles as well as grout and then seal the grout. Can I use a tile-sealer as a grout sealer? Or do I have two use two different products?
as an installer of ceramic tile for 23 years i can feel confident that my answer will best suit you....aqua mix brand of sealers is some of the best and will seal both your UNGLAZED tile and seal your grout as well ....you need to use a penetrating sealer as it will chemically bond to the grout the other responses to your question has sealant problems because they used a silicone based sealant which is only good for 6 months and needs to be redone where the penetrating sealant is good for 15 to 20 years
Q:Kitchen tiles, that are like whitish/beigish?
yes you can use tiles
Q:My wall tiles has been for more than 20yrs owned by first owner. Due to limited budget,i have not replaced them when i bought over as 2nd owner, but have done a coat of spray paint on it thru contractor, Now after 5 yrs, some of these spray paint are coming off, any suggestion what i can do , i do not want to hack the wall and replace new wall tiles very costly, someone suggest buying bathroom tiles stickers on those tiles with paint coming off.. anyone with better suggestion on DIY ..plse help---
remove all of the silly paint with a heat gun and plastic putty knife, dig out the grout and regrout. Unless the tile are loose, then you will have to pop out the loose ones and re-adhere them to the wall with construction adhesive or thinset. painting is not a good plan. Especially if you paid someone to do it. It would have been cheaper to install new tile yourself than pay someone to paint it.
Q:is it better to rent a wet saw, or will a tile cutter be less expensive and less messy
It depends on what kind of cuts you need to make. A tile cutter is fine for straight cuts, but inevitably you will have to make some sort of crazy cut that you can't make with a tile cutter. A wet saw can be rented for a fairly reasonble rate and makes the job a lot easier.
Q:i was pouring grout on my tile floor and it dryed too fast. how can i get rid of it?
Moisten the joints between the tiles with a little bit of water. This makes the grout naturally flow into the crevices and away from the face of your tile. Work in small sections, cleaning the surface of the tile as you go. The longer you wait, the more the grout will set and the harder it will be to remove. Clean the tiles with a damp sponge. After you apply the grout to the joints of the tiles, use a damp sponge to wipe the surface of each tile clean. You may want to go over it a few times to make sure that no excess grout remains. Sweep all the grout to one area, and then wipe it with a rag if necessary. Find a pH balanced cleanser. If grout or residue still remains on the tile, use a gentle cleaner to scrub the surface. If you left the grout on too long and it cured on the tile, you may need an acid-based solution.
