This site tells you exactly how to make the tornado project. One Tornado Tube plastic connector (available in science museums, science stores, novelty stores, and some scientific supply companies). Or you can make your own using a washer with a 3/8 hole in it and electrical tape. Optional: One small bottle of food coloring and/or bits of paper.
Q: I need it fast, so I want to just go and buy it - no time for shipping.
a plumbing supply house. it's not common but they do use it for pneumatic tube systems for delivering things in capsules, like the bank and pharmacy uses on their drive-thru.
Q: How are plastic tubes filled with products?
Plastic tubes are typically filled with products through a process called tube filling. This involves the use of specialized machinery that dispenses, measures, and seals the desired product into the tubes. The process may vary depending on the type of product being filled, but it generally involves automated or manual filling stations that accurately measure and fill the tubes. Once filled, the tubes are sealed, labeled, and packaged for distribution.

Q: When a mechanic wants to empty a gasoline tank of a car,he fills a plastic tube with gasoline, dips one end of the tube into the gasoline in the tank, and puts the one end at a empty drum lower than the gasoline tank of the car.Why does this technique work?
gravity and suction! the tube that is full of petrol wants to empty it's self into the lower empty tank which creates suction on the upper tank (as long as one end is in petrol) and gravity is always pulling the liquid or petrol towards the lower tank! Hope this helps
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for vacuum systems?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for vacuum systems.
Q: I've just started my phlebotomy class and have 8 different colors tubes which are Yellow (Sterile tube), Light Blue, Red,Gold(SST), Light Green(PST), Green,Lavender, and Grey. I'm having trouble understanding what tubes go where.... like I know Red tube is used for Chemistry and Light Blue is used for Coagulation..... The book really isan't that great so I'm kind of confused... Also I've looked on the internet and they mention a pink tube that is used for blood going to the blood bank but there is no pink tube mentioned anywhere in my book. If anyone could take the time to help me out with this I would appreciate it so much and gladly give you the 10 points...... My instructor is great at the hands on portion of actually drawing the blood but lacking very much so in the lecture portion.... so as you can imagine I'm lost! Thanks so much!
That's not true! The PINK tube has EDTA and is used in blood bank. It replaces having to draw a plain red to for serum and a purple top. Pink rubber top tube contains an additive called ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), or potassium salt. This tube is used for full blood counts (CBC) required for blood banks, blood type screening, or blood cross-match.
