Q: Garage door lock stuck in locked position?
This idea seems to have several flaws. First, nobody can be in the air tight room for more then the time it takes to use up the oxygen in the room. Second, the change in air pressure would be pretty small, so you'd either get lots of false trips or it wouldn't trip when you wanted it to. It would be better to use a sensor that used heat rise. Third, what would a person do if they were in the room when a fire broke out? They would die from the lack of oxygen (faster then in the first case). And finally, since this room is of limited space, it will burn off the oxygen in the room during the fire and snuff itself out even if you don't evacuate the remaining air in the room. And if you haven't done anything but take the oxygen out of the room, the fire would likely restart when you vent air back into the room.
Q: I am an Environmental and Safety Manager major in college and would like to here some of your concerns. Thanks!!!
i know home depot sells pex fittings, not sure about the pipe but you could call and check.
Q: What are some science lab rules?
A muff is a fitting used for joining pipes without threads
Q: Has anyone ran these tires before? How they work in snow/mud/ice/slush/off road? They are studdable so do i really have to have them studded? If I get them studded for the winter months, then in the spring is it possible to get the studs removed?
No not at all, go ahead drive and park your burning car next to a fire hydrant. It just might be in the way of the firefighters trying to attach the hose to the hydrant so take caution to leave a little space. .good luck o_0
Q: this is the kind of work we do, sheetrock, tile, carpet, taxture, painting, fenceing, room addition, some plumbing, some elect.and roofing, paint.
Yes, the fittings will leak at such high pressure. Not fireablejust redo it correctly. Good luck with better bosses
Q: keeping us in line with their fire hoses billy clubswhile the rich get richer and we have hard lives?
People falling from great heights have survived, typically occupants jumping from aircraft with a failed parachute or without a parachute hac ve survived if they fall into deep snow, or crash into a tree, the branches of which snap off slowing then down in a similar way to the silly suggestion about people jumping up at intervals to slow the rate of fall. I watched a deliberate jump from an aircraft video on Youtube a little while ago. The jumper did slow himself down by using skydiving techniques, and flew into a huge stack of cardboard boxes. There were incidents in wartime where occupants of crashing planes survived by hitting deep snow drifts, but that was just luck. I also remember a true story film made about a young girl who was aboard an aircraft that exploded above the rain forests. She fell to the ground still strapped in the aircraft seat, and her impact was lessened by entering the trees as mentioned, with some protection from the seat. She sustained some injuries, but was lost in the jungle, was able to feed and get water, and luckily was able to contact people many days later. She had maggots in her wounds, which played a part in keeping her alive with her injuries. She also, was very lucky, if not lucky that the plane came apart in the first place. She was the sole survivor.
Q: Direct connections as shown in Fig.G1/4.If you do not use the card sleeve, can the thread of the card sleeve be directly connected with the internal thread of the G1/4?
InequableThe card sleeve is divided into two types: a single card sleeve and a double clamp sleeveThe sleeve end thread single card is generally metric thread, 6mm or 1/4 "card sleeve thread is M12*1.5."G1/4 is pipe thread with fixed thread, outer diameter and pitchDouble card for UNF fine thread (also have metric teeth, but already very little), and G1/4 internal thread is even more not matching
Q: OK so I bought a home in UT about 2 months ago and we didn't notice the home doesn't have smoke alarms. I read my home inspection report and surprise there is nothing in there about them it seems he didn't even look for them.SO.1) Isn't it required to have smoke detectors in a home2) Shouldn't it be in my inspection report?
STUDY6640: Like a true Neo-Con, you can't answer intelligently, and when you can't, you start with the name-calling. However, it's not even a political party that is not listening. Dems and Republicans do the same thing. Money is usually the key issue on not putting a heat detector on the 78th floor. People try to find ways to cut corners, and it usually costs other's lives.
Q: I moved to West Virginia a couple years ago. I am not used to drive in snow at all so I tried not to drive in snow but last winter I had to go out in a deep snow and I almost had bad accidents twice in one day going down the hill. I am terribly frightened to drive in snow. Watching snow on TV even makes me feel so depressed thinking about coming winter.I have BMW X5 AWD with M/S tires. Going up the hill is no problem but down the hill, especially stopping, making turns in the middle of the steep hill is TERRIBLE.I slipped, turned around and went down hill backwards, almost went down the cliff with my 3 small children in a car.I will still try not to drive on snowy days but in case I need to go out..,what do I need to do to avoid this? Should I buy snow tires or chains? It does not matter how much it will cost, I just want to be safe.Again, there are a lot of steep hills here and I need to have good traction for STOPPING.Could someone give me some suggestions, please?!
first of all: u dont put gasoline or lighter fluid on fire! secondly: call 911 instead of asking for help on yahoo thridly: O_O
Q: I was recently in a car accident in which I swerved to avoid a rabbit and ended up on the side of the road hitting a fire hydrant. Nobody was injured and no property other then my own was harmed, but the police are citing me with “criminal negligence saying that i was doing a “brake stand”. I was not doing a brake stand and i don’t even think that it would be possible in that car. Does anyone else agree?
The pump they supplied for the boiler loop will be sufficient for most applications, but the building loop pump will have to be calculated. They are two separate systems even though they are connected together with a Decoupler loop. You convert all the fittings to equivalent length of pipe, and then add that number to the actual length of pipe in the system. This is used to find the resistance to flow in the system. In some cases, where the pump is almost large enough, the diameter of the pipe and fittings can be increased a size to reduce the friction losses. Call the manufacture for Tech support if possible.
