- Q: Could this be potentially Electrokinesis?I am prone to having a LOT of static shocks. My computer freezes on me, my TV turns over by itself, my computer, Ipod, Phone turn off by themselves. My phone rings random people, if I put my finger about a centimeter over my touch screen on my Ipod it still works, the internet keeps disconnecting for meyou get the idea. Why does this happen? could it be out of control electrokinesis?
- static shocks occur due to a variety of reasons. perhaps you have an excess of electron build up. try rubbing your feet on carpet and see if your static increases
- Q: Can I use GB electrical equipment in Ukraine? If not what adaptor do I need to be able to use it?
- Ukraine has 220/240 voltage, and a different 3 prong outlets. You can buy converters in most major stores.
- Q: I'd like to know what's the difference between the two in terms of what they study about, what projects/equipment they do and also if they have similarities. Thanks! :)
- Most schools post ther curriculum online. Look at the website of the school you wish to attend and look at the two curricula.
- Q: Conduct regular maintenance tests for the electrical equipment. The following actions should be taken to reduce the probability of potential electrical deficiencies at this facility. The Hazard
- potential electrical deficiencies means the possibility that this facility will not work due to electrical problems in other words, future problems caused by lack of maintenance on the electrical equipment. Therefore, the sentence could be rephrased as follows: The following actions should be taken to to make sure all the electrical equipment stays in good working order.

- Q: i.e. extended warranty.
- I know this isn't much of an answer but I think it depends on the item. For example, I bought a $32 toy and toys-r-us tried to sell me a warranty that was $12. Doesn't really make sense. But the warranty on my flat screen TV is probably a good value. -- On a side note, it is wonderful that items are so cheap now that we have to consider the value of the warranty but I am worried about out throw-away society. I had a neighbor that just bought a new lawn mower because it leaked oil. That would cost $12 to fix. Oy!
- Q: Actually in position, we have provided shade for an electrical equipment but sun is hitting during morning and evening. Can it be called as a shaded area?
- Outside ambient temperatures are always measured in the shade away from direct sunlight. If your equipment is seeing direct sunlight in normally convective air, then you should use an infared remote sensing thermometer to measure different points on the outside and the inside of the equipment (if possible) to determine the ambient temperature (when exposed to direct sunlight). Alternately, you could place a thermistor, thermocouple, RTD, or semiconductor temperature sensor inside the equipment (always in the shade) and run wire leads outside the equipment container, then measure ambient temperature inside the equipment with a meter on the outside. .
- Q: Are you taught job skills required to work for a company? or are you trained to specifically do a job like they trust your knowledge and teach you specifics?
- They generally don't teach you. They give you a job to do and you do it till you get it right. If you need info you research it or get assistance from other departments. You may go outside to another company for training on some specific issue or tool, instrument, skill etc. You will learn how to learn. They know you aren't an expert yet but one skill is rapid learning. The faster you pick up skills the more you will be paid. The outside learning should be paid for by the company. a second skill is negotiating with your boss to obtain the training. Be an avid reader of trade magazines to pick up secrets, info etc. Never stop learning.
- Q: If an electrical equipment is designed for 220V at 60Hz, can it be used in a country which uses an electrical system of 240V at 50Hz. I'm not sure how true is this, but I've heard that the voltage would not be a problem but if the frequency is less, electrical equipments with motors will not be able to run at 100% performance which means the efficiency drops. Please enlighten me~Thank you
