- Q: I really dont get it . I have listened to a lot of metal songs . That really confuses me . Is it the type of music that makes it black metal or the lyrics ???If its the lyrics that makes it black metal then why HELLS BELLS-AC/DC is not labeled as black metal and why MAHA KALI-BEHEMOTH is labeled as black metal(maha kali is an indian goddess who kills asuras and evils , so i dont think its evil to be labeled as black metal)If its the type of music that makes it black metal then why FREEZING MOON-MAYHEM(regarded as one the greatest black metal songs) is labeled as black metal . - Metal and rap often fight as to which is a more talented genre of music. I dont like rap in the least but I do admit there is talent involved in the genre. I am a lifelong metalhead and listen to mostly thrash, but also black metal and death metal. I think metal listeners mostly fight with each other as to which subgenre of metal is better. For example Nu Metal (terrible stuff... eg, Slipknot) verses Thrash ( True Metal... eg, Slayer)
