1.What is aluminum?

Aluminium is oxidized by water at temperatures below 280°C to produce hydrogen, aluminium hydroxide and heat:2 Al + 6 H2O → 2 Al(OH)3 + 3 H2

This conversion is of interest for the production of hydrogen. Challenges include circumventing the formed oxide layer, which inhibits the reaction and the expenses associated with the storage of energy by regeneration of the Al metal.

Aluminium is theoretically 100% recyclable without any loss of its natural qualities. According to the International Resource Panel's Metal Stocks in Society report, the global per capita stock of aluminium in use in society (i.e. in cars, buildings, electronics etc.) is 80 kg (180 lb). Much of this is in more-developed countries (350–500 kg (770–1,100 lb) per capita) rather than less-developed countries (35 kg (77 lb) per capita). Knowing the per capita stocks and their approximate lifespans is important for planning recycling.

Q: Anyone know the recipe for Hooters Wings??
Hooters Buffalo Chicken Wings From Top Secret Recipes Lite! Very good.even my dad liked these10 chicken wings, with skin 1/4 cup hot sauce 1/4 cup light butter, melted 1 tablespoon water 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 cup skim milk nonstick cooking spray 2 servings 11Preheat oven on broil 22Line a cookie sheet or shallow baking pan with a sheet of aluminum foilSpray foil with nonstick spray 33Arrange chicken wings on the foil with the side that has the most skin on it facing upBroil wings for 12 to 14 minutes, or until skin begins to dry 44Remove wings from oven, and set to 450 degreesAllow wings to cool for 10 to 15 minutes or just long enough so they can be touched 55While the wings cool, prepare sauce by combining hot sauce, fat free buttery spread, and water in small saucepan over med/low heatHeat mixture, stirring often, until it begins to boilImmediately remove sauce from heat and cover the saucepan until chicken wings are ready to coat 66Prepare chicken breading by combining flour with salt, paprika, and cayeene pepper in small bowlPour milk into another small bowl 77When wings are cool enough to touch, remove skin from each of the chicken pieces, and discard itDip wings, one at a time, in breading, then into milk and back into breading, so that each one is well coated 88Place wings back on baking sheetSpray a coating of nonstick oil spray over each wing, so that the breading is moistened, and then bake wings at 450 degrees for 12 minutesCrank oven up to broil for 3 to 5 minutes, or till wings begin to brown and become crispy 99Remove wings from ovenLet them rest for about a minute, then put them into a plastic container (with a lid)Pour generous amount of sauce over wings, cover, and gently shake wings so that they are all well coated with sauceServe immediately.
Q: Ok I was watching the food network channel and I have a few questions:1) I cooked a pork shoulder on a smoker on low heat for like 8 hours and the sholder did not pull apart all tenderIve seen them cook it this way on food network and it looked really good and pulled apart easilyMine however was like regular meatWhy?2) I seen another guy rap a pork shoulder in plastic wrap and then wrap it in aluminum foil and put it on the smokerFirst off, isnt having plastic wrap on food in those temperatures harmful to your health? And second, how are you getting the smokey flavor by wrapping the meet up? It did come out tender this way on the tv though.3) I see them cook pork shoulders or ribs in the smokers and the meat comes out tenderWhenever I do it this way without wrapping in foil, it comes out dry and toughYes i mop itIm asking because when i do wrap in foil, it comes out really tender but a littke too tenderI usually grill it after this but the meat falls off the bone too easily, i like a little texture.
Sometimes we need to experiment with different recipes, cuts of meat, oven temperatures before we can find the way we like itI can give you the recipe I use, but I think you do not need another recipeI think all you need to do is keep your eyes, ears, and noise alert for doneness and flavorOne thing, I would not do is cook meat in a smoker for 8 hours, even if it is on low heatIt is just not safe cooking meat for so long on low temperaturesIf you want to cook your meat for a long time, invest in a good crock-pot and your meat will come out succulent, juicy and tenderJust remember any meat you cook in the oven, grill, or smoker, if it is not covered well, will come out dry and even tough As the meat cooks the juices escapes the meat and with no liquid in the pan the meat will cook dryWrapping the meat in foil will cause moister to build in the foil and this natural moisture will keep the meat succulent and tenderI definitely would not wrap in plasticGood Luck in your cooking.
Q: Now you see I did this project on evaporationThe project was What type of wrap prevents evaporation, aluminium foil or plastic wrap? So I place cups of water outside and then when it was time to measure the water after wards one of the cups of water seem to increase in measurementIt was once 4 ounces but then when I measure it after wards it was about 4 ounces and a 1/3 of a cupIs there an explanation for this?
Like most everything else, water expands when heatedThe mass does not change, but the volume canDoes that help?
Q: How can I minimize freezer burn of my frozen food?
Look carefully at the i5-2500k and the 1600 speed memorySomewhere I read that the 2500k can only handle the 1300 memory unless you over-clock it(Do some research on this before you trust this.) For $20 more you can get the Ivy Bridge version of the 2500k called the i5-3570It uses the latest stuff but is not over-clockableBut it handles the 1600 speed memory.
Q: I'm painting my aluminum window awnings.how to coordinate with the color of my shutters tastefully?
I would leave them white or paint them creamIn the pic with them all being white there is no popLeaving the awnings a light color will pop the shutters and windowsCute house.
Q: I don't have any cookie sheets to bake my cookie dough in.What else can I use?I used aluminum foil but it burned the bottom of the cookie.
if you kept your mouth closed to begin with they would not be able to put words in it So do people that can't mind their own business expect perfect responses to imperfect perceptions
Q: Is it safe to use aluminum foil with cast iron cookware?

Yes, you can use aluminum foil with cast iron pots and pans, but it's not generally recommended. Aluminum foil can potentially scratch the seasoning on cast iron, which is crucial for maintaining the non-stick surface. If you need to use foil, make sure it's heavy-duty and handle with care to avoid scratches. However, it's always better to cook with cast iron without foil to preserve its seasoning and longevity.

Q: OkA friend and I have this obsession with dinosaurs, and we want to do two projectsOne is a small fossil created from shaped pieces of aluminum foil in a shadow box, so we need to figure out what kind of glue would be bestWe also want to make a life size (ish lol) one with aluminum cansprobably around 3ft tall or sobut as realistic as possibleAny ideas on how to cut the cans and shape them without cutting ourselves?
Wear gloves Get a good pair of tin snips rather than ruining some scissors - smaller heads, harder edgesGOOP Craft or Marine is a clear glue that can be used as a slow setting gel or as a contact cement - put it on, touch pieces, pull apart for 10-15 seconds, touch and they stayMarine is more UV protected.
