Q: Okay I have some questions:-When I get it done can I have- 2 labret retainers put in to hide them from my school?-If I can, how discreet are the retainers?-How long to heal? (Even though the piercer will tell me)-Have you got a picture of a scaffolding piercing with retainers? May I see it (:-And a basic clear cleaning regime?Thankyous (: x: Im pretty sure you can have retainers for your industrial piercing if you get it done buuuuut you wont be able to put them in for a couple months cause industrials take a long time to heal. And like the person said below it really depends on your skin tone and what color retainer you buy. You shouldnt have a problem with the industrial though cause people cant see mine if I have my hair down. They take up to 1 year to fully heal. You can swap your piercings out after 3 months but beware it can close up on you if you have difficulty putting it in. You HAVE to wait 3 months before you can put retainers in. Industrials are 14g piercings so make sure your retainers are the right gauge. Your ear will be sore for a long time dear. Mine didnt hurt while getting it pierced cause I have a high pain tolerance but my ear was sore and bruised afterwards. The healing process is very delicate and your ear will be sore for a couple months. Make sure you get the piercing on the ear you dont sleep on. I use a 50/50 solution of Betadine and distilled water. Other piercers have different cleaning regimes though, so listen to your piercer. I always clean it with warm water and use a Q-tip to clean around the piercing. Then I put the cleaning solution on and twist the piercing around GENTLY so the solution will go into the cartilege. I do this 3 times a day and i will do it for a month. Industrials are really delicate piercings so always keep it clean :)

Q: Another from the ministry of silly questions…I’d like to support a lightweight tarpaulin over my back yard. Single slope, high side attached to the house and low side attached to a scaffolding pole, running horizontally between two walls. Fair weather, no high winds or pooling. The run of pole would be 8 meters. The longest poles seem to be 6m, so I need to use a coupling. Will this be strong enough – ish? I imagine the most stressed point would be just around the edges of the coupling, so If I used two joints/couplings in the bar, wouldn’t I half the strain on a single one?Also if I made the joints at 1m and 7m would that be better than to have a joint in the middle where the most flexing will be?Also bit more expensive, but with Aluminium the bar will be 20kg lighter – buy will it be as strong joint wise?Will a tubular coupling be as good as a external one?If anyone knows.. Thanks!: The problem with your proposal is that you realise that the wind/rain could have an effect but chose to ignore the consequences if it occurs. 'Proper' scaffolding is designed and such an unsupported span would never occur in a 'normal' scaffold so the standard calculations would not work. There is also the possible effect on the walls, could they take an abnormal load? I would look at theatrical or music stage hire using trussed beams.

Q: I got my industrial pierced about three days ago. The shop I wanted to go to closed so I went to another one that cost a bit more. The guy who pierced it said to only clean it with warm water, but when I got my helix, tounge webbing and angel bites I was told that all new piercings need disinfectant. What are some disinfectants I could use and am I right by doing this or should I listen to the piercer?: Well you definitely need to use more than just warm water to clean it. Try using something like Provon soap and do sea salt soaks at least twice a day to keep it clean.

Q: I Got It On The 16th Of Feb This Year, I'm 14 Year's Old, So Don't Laugh, Okay I Can't Unscrew The Ball Things And How Long Does It Take To Heal Fully? __Ciara-Chemical__: Thats an awesome piercing, nice job! I'm not laughing about being unable to unscrew it - I have a piercing in my pinna I've never been able to get out - had it for like 6 months. What I will say it that you shouldn't be taking it out yet really anyway. If you wash it in sea-salt and warm water once a day it should be almost totally healed in 8 weeks, which is still about two weeks away if you got it on the 16th Feb. Even then for the first 6 months or so it'll close pretty quickly (not in like an hour or anything, but it could get tighter in as little as 3 or 4 hours), so you should try to leave it in all the time for that 6 month period.

Q: I'm wanting to get a part of my ear pierced in the summer,which should I get,how much do each hurt,what is the healing period for each.I am getting it in the summer so it has time to heal before I go back to school,Help??: Industrial takes the longest to heal, cartilage and tragus are pretty similar but infection/complications are more common in tragus piercings as they are knocked a lot by hair and headphones etc. They all hurt the same amount, unless you get your cartilage done with a gun, in which case it's much less painful (but more risk of your cartilage cracking, which is pretty painful in the long term). Industrials are usually done as two cartilage piercings with two bars, then the long bar is put in after they've healed. You should expect some discomfort and scarring around the piercing holes for quite a while afterwards. Tragus piercings often give you problems as the area is near to ear wax which contains all sorts of debris and dust ect. Most cartilage piercings should heal fine and be pretty low maintenance, and there are lots of varieties. If you want something unusual, google a 'rook' piercing.

Please help.: You can get one and to prevent it you have to clean the piercing with listerine a girl i know named myra she got a cauliflower because she cleaned it with alcholo and it looks so nastyyou need to clean it with listerine.

Tie your hair in a loose ponytail at the bottom of your neck, without putting any hair behind your ears. This is what my friend did for work, it worked for her. The reason you can't wear jewellery in school is 'health and safety', so just having clear balls won't make a difference. Can you get a clear TFT bar as well as balls? that would probably help hide it. Best of luck!
