Q:what is msg,the food additive?: msg stands for mono sodium glutamate, and my mom doesn't usually like buying food with that included in it. It's a sodium salt of the naturally occurring non-essential amino acid glutamic acid, and it's used as a food additive and is commonly marketed as a flavor enhancer. The reason my mom doesn't like it is cause it's supposedly linked to worsened asthma symptoms. Idk if it's true, but i've heard it from a lot of sources.
