Not the biggest but definitely the most interesting was a check for 25,000 dollars. There was construction going on north of my property by the city. It sounded like they were right in my back yard so I went outside and they were in my yard. I large excavator was on my property tearing trees out of the ground and piling them up. I tried to explain to the Foreman of the crew that they were on my property, but he ignored me. He was extremely rude and condescending. Finally he confronted me and said that If I didn't leave his job site he was going to call the Police and have me removed. I told him that I would do it for him. When the police arrived the mayor was with them and he knew where the city property ended. He told them to get their equipment off of my property. I contacted my lawyer and he told me my rights. I checked with a company that planted trees the size of the ones that were damaged and he told me it might cost over 50,000 dollars to replace the trees. When a company rep from the contractor came to the house he was almost as rude as the Foreman had been. I told him how much the replacement trees would cost and even gave him the number so he could talk to them himself. I offered to settle for 25,000 if he brought the check before 5 that afternoon. Around a quarter till 5 he showed up with the check.

The basic formula for hydraulic power is proportional to the force and the flow. We can calculate from the power to find time and so speed. This is: power_watts = (force_newtons x displacement_meters) / time_seconds We need the time so: time = (force * displacement) / power The pressure is due to the resistance to flow. Determine the force from the pressure and the cross sectional area of the cylinder, where one pascal is one newton per square meter. area = pi * r^2 = pi * 0.0725m^2 = 0.016513m^2 The pressure is 36.3MPa. The force is: Force = pressure * area = 599422N. The displacement is the stroke of 1.52m, so from the above formula for time: time = (599422N * 1.52m) / 202000W = 4.51s The extension speed (velocity) is: velocity = distance / time = 1.52m /4.51s = 0.337m/s Edited later: I missed the point there are 2 cylinders. As there are 2 cylinders for the same flow, the speed is half of one cylinder: 0.337 / 2 = 0.1685m/s <== Answer (as for your answer)

Q: So I got a new job and today was my first day. It was horrible, I got no training and it is a pretty dangerous job, it's installing sewer and drainage piping. I don't mind hard work, but I had no idea what to do and felt useless. My co workers are either assholes or idiots. In my opinion, you should just evaluate the good and the bad. If you leave this job, are you going to be stable until you find another one? (say the job you call about you don't get, will you be ok?) Just don't put yourself in a bad situation for your own life. I'd say a job like that isn't worth it, but it's all up to your current stability.
